An Unexpected Friendship Ch. 1

Rose's POV: I was back at Yugi's house or in other words, the Kame Game Shop. Yugi and I were sitting on his bed chatting. "So, Yugi....." I said "Yeah? What is it?" he asked. " I was going to ask you about that ghost-looking figure floating beside you." His face turn to complete shock as he let the words I had just said sink in. "H-How can you see the Pharaoh?" he asked me. "Well, I thought ..... is he a friend of yours?" I questioned.

Yugi's POV: I thought on how I was going to explain this to her as best I could. "The figure you see beside me is an 5,000 year old Pharaoh from Ancient Egypt. He's been with me ever since I solved the millennium puzzle so long ago." I answered her. She stood there in complete and utter shock just staring blankly at the Pharaoh as if he was a god or something. 'Yugi, shall I take over for now?'  the Pharaoh asked me in my mind. 'Sure Pharaoh, if you want to.....'  I replied. Then there was a flash of light and the Pharaoh took over while I resided myself inside the puzzle.

Yami's POV: "Hello, Rose was it?" I said trying to remember her name. "H-hello Yami......" I heard Rose say sheepishly as she realized that I had switched with Yugi. I saw that she was blushing so hard that her face looked like a ripe tomato.

Rose's POV: I felt so embarrassed that I wanted to run out of the room and never come back. I had always felt this way around Yami. (Mostly because he was the King of Games, and I loved his compassion towards his friends) Though my sister, Rain had a different taste in men. Meaning the CEO of Kiaba Corp., Seto Kiaba. Who I hated very much, with his cold-hearted remarks to me, as well as the gang. But the most intimidating part about the CEO was his ice cold blue eyes, which could stare through your soul with one glare. I had no idea why my sister loved that cold-hearted jerk so much.

*****************************A few weeks earlier.......*******************************

Me, Mokuba, and Yami wanted to try a prank on Kiaba to make him smile, or at least try to make him smile. We set his radio to the "Happy Song" station and we made sure that he couldn't change the station. Kiaba got into his limo and turned on the radio.

Kiaba's POV:

I am really special 'cause there's only one of me

Look my smile, I'm so damn happy, the people are jealous of me

When I'm sad and lonely, I like to sing this song

It cheers me up and shows me that I won't be sad for long

"Could you PLEASE turn that damn song OFF!?!?" I roared. Out of all the songs that are in the world this as the worst!

Oh, oh, oh, I'm so happy, I can barely breathe

Puppy dogs and sugar frogs, and kittens baby teeth

Watch out all you mothers, I'm happy as hardcore

Happy as a coupon for a 20 dollar whore

I'm really happy, I'm sugar-coated me

 Happy, good, anger, bad that's my philosophy

I can't do this, man, I'm not happy

I am really special 'cause there's only one of me

Look my smile, I'm so damn happy, the people are jealous of me

These are my love handles and this is my spout

But if you tip me over then mama said, "Knock you out"

"I'm sorry sir, but the channel will not change!" said the driver. So I decided to take matters into my own hands. "Stop the limo, NOW !!!" I said. I decided that I would walk to work.

Rain's POV: "Huh, huh huh" I said trying to regain my breath. I had to peddle really fast, since Mokuba told me that there was a change of plans. I raced up the stairs of the Kiaba Corp. building, getting to Seto's room and set a radio on his desk. "Hhhh!" Their were footsteps coming up to the door. I took out my camera from Christmas 3 years ago. I quickly set it to record, and hid in the nearest closet.

Seto's POV: "Whoever thought it was funny enough to prank me will be fired on the spot!!!" I yelled as I entered my office. "I know that your in hear somewhere! Come out now and I might just consider not firing you!" I knew that the culprit was in my office. I'm going to go through everything in here if I have to! I started to look in my closets, because that was the most obvious place they could try to hide. I open the third closet and I saw Rain just sitting in there with a video camera in hand. "What do you think your doing in here Rain?" I questioned her. "S-Seto, I-I...... I didn't......" she stuttered. "Didn't what?" I asked.

Rain's POV: I racked my brain for something while a very angry Seto was awaiting my response. I didn't want to get my sister, Mokuba, Yami or Rose in trouble, so I said "It was me Seto, I just wanted to make you smile......." I said confessing. To my surprise, he started to chuckle "Ha Ha Ha! You are the only one who can make me smile Rain, and you know that already" He continued to chuckle softly. I knew that Seto would be in a worse mood if I had told him that it was Rose, Yami, and Mokuba's idea instead of mine. I just wanted to chip in and help them get into Kiaba Corp. Without me they could of never gotten into here. I knew that Seto would understand if he thought that I did it.

Back at Yugi's House...........

Yami's POV: I saw that Rose looked like she was about to cry. So I tried to comfort her "Rose what's wrong?" I walked over to her and held her close. "Shhhhh its ok, there's no need to cry." I said softly whispering into her ear. She seemed to clam down as the room became silent. She looked up at me with her cat-like green eyes. "I-I just t-thought that you l-loved me, o-oh w-what am I s-saying? You p-probably n-never d-did....." she said starting to cry and nuzzled her face into my chest. I held her even more close. "Oh Rose, I do love you. Why would you ever even doubt that I wouldn't love you?" I said lovingly. She looked up at me again but this time with a tear-stained face and said "You really d-do? Y-your not just lying to make me feel better?" she questioned. "I really do love you." I wiped away her tears with my thumb as I caressed her face. I heard her make a deep rumbling sound much like when a cat purrs. "Sorry, I just do that when I'm really happy" She said sheepishly. "Don't be, I think that it's very cute since your half cat." I said, she purred even louder after I said that.

Rose's POV: I blushed a thousand shades of red at what Yami had just said. I didn't know anyone who loved all the unique qualities that I had. Yami was the only person that loved me for who I was, for what I was. He didn't want me to change my look at all. Most people thought I was a freak being the way I looked, being the only neko in my family.
