The Demon Hybrid Queen

I stared in horror as we stood in front of the orphanage that holds the slaughtered boys and girls. None of them were over the age of six and they were all killed without mercy. "Who could have done this?" I asked. No one knew the answer so everyone stayed quiet. "Ashlyn go investigate the inside see if you can find something, Colton go do a body count the rest of you come with me." The head councilman said. We all nodded and I slowly stepped into the house, the smell of death fresh in the air. Everything was drenched in blood almost as if all if their deaths were slow and painful. I made my way all throughout the house to make sure no one was here first before I slowly examined everything in the house. I was about to walk outside to see if there was something out there when I saw something shiny in the corner of the room. I bent down and slipped on the gloves in my pocket so I don't mess with the fingerprints already on the item. I picked up the unknown thing to reveal that it's an ancient dagger with script writing on it. I placed it in the evidence bag and proceeded to walk outside. I stopped in my tracks as I looked at the grass. There was a symbol burnt into the grass as if someone was doing a ritual. The symbol was a diamond inside of a circle with a star at each corner of the diamond. I took multiple pictures before I squatted down to touch the symbol and see if I can feel anything. You see I can feel the type of magic power after spells and rituals are done and figure out what kind of magic is being used. Another perk of having Lilith as my demon. I placed my hand down on the side of the circle and gasped as I was engulfed in complete and utter darkness. It's the type of darkness where if you closed your eyes and then opened them there wouldn't be a difference. It also felt worse than just black magic it was something stronger than that and it scared the living crap out of me. I jerk my hand away and scrambled back from the sign. I turned my hand over to see a burn mark sitting in the palm of the hand that touched the symbol. I ran my fingers over the mark before taking a picture of the burn mark in case it dissapered before I got back. What in the world are we dealing with
