They'd met in kindergarten actually and when they where in Grade 11 they started dating.

Either way this was how it went.

"I have detention?" Michael asked his teacher in disbelief who nodded firmly,
"Yes Mr, Novak I'm afraid that you have been behind on a lot of schoolwork you need to catch up" The teacher said her stern look melting a little "Is everything alright at home?"
Michael hesitated, What he wanted to say was that "No everything is not fine, Our dad skipped out about a year ago and I have to take care of my brothers and sister"
What he said however was,
"Yes everythings fine"
"Well then" The teacher said starting to fill out a detention form "You will be staying until 3:30 tonight after school in room 321 understood?"
"Yes Ma'am" Michael mumbled as he took the slip and walked out of his math class leaving his teacher to wonder if a seventeen year old should really be that thin.
~2:30pm~
Michael walked into the detention room grumbling to himself about how he needed to pick Samandriel up from daycare and how this was not ok and-
"MICHA!"
"Dear Christ Lucifer" Michael yelped as his friend tackled him into a hug which nearly knocked him over,
"Dear Lucifer" The blond said winking at Michael who rolled his eyes.
The two where complete opposites, Michael actually trying to do work, Was quiet, Athletic, Dark haired and wore hoodies and jeans everyday opposed to Lucifer who was loud, constantly in trouble for not doing homework, the only exercise he got was running away from people he pissed off and wore old band shirts and jeans and was light haired....not to mention all the piercings the kid had.
"So what brings the oh so heavenly prince to detention hmm?" Lucifer asked his ice blue eyes shining as Michael sighed
"Not doing my math homework for the fifth time"
"YOU didn't do homework?" Lucifer asked grinning and Michael narrowed his eyes
"Yeah well what did you do?" Michael asked regretting it once Lucifer's grin grew
"I put a mouse in Mr, Watson's desk"
Michael stared at his friend for a moment before he burst out laughing.
"ok ok Michael calm down before you rupture something and lets get into detention you can sit beside me babe" Lucifer said with a wink as he dragged Michael into Detention.

"That was horrible" Michael groaned as he and Lucifer finally left the school,
"It wasn't that bad" Lucifer said calmly freezing almost instantly his eyes widening
"Luc are you WHOA!" Michael grunted as he fell pulled down behind a hedge by Lucifer who was peaking over the top
"Lucifer what the-"
"Shut it" Lucifer hissed staring from the top of the bush "Its Zach"
"Zach as in Zachariah?" Michael asked his own eyes widening as he went beside Lucifer peaking over the bush with him,
"Yup a regular code Z....Ready to make a run for it?" Lucifer asked glancing at Michael his eyes gleaming and Michael matched his best friends grin as he nodded
"Yup lets go" Michael said standing up and helping Lucifer to his feet before they both took off towards Samandriel's daycare Zachariah's yell of "Novak! Cage get back here!" getting distant as the two friends ran all the way to the daycare.
"We got away again" Lucifer whooped fist pumping the air and Michael smiled at his friend his breathless,Stubborn, Hot headed, Beautiful, Amazing, Wonderful friend and when did he start kissing him?!
Michael pulled away quickly once he realized what had happened stammering an apology
"I-i'm so sorry Luc I didn't-" Michael was cut off by Lucifer wrapping his arms around Michael's neck pulling him close and kissing him again making Michael's heart stop thumping so wildly and he rested his hands on Lucifer's waist content with holding him close.
When Air was needed the both broke away resting their foreheads together,
"Be my boyfriend?" Lucifer mumbled and Michael freaked again
"Luci listen...I want to be I really really want to be but....i would be a terrible boyfriend, I would never have time for you Cause when I say that I can't hang out due to work its really cause my dad skipped out on us and I have to raise my siblings I'm so sorry Luci"
Lucifer stared at Michael for a moment before his trademark wide grin was back in place,
"Sweet..Can I help? I always wanted to be a mom"
Michael smiled brightly kissing Lucifer again quickly "Yes you can help and yes I'll be your boyfriend"
Lucifer smiled holding Michael's hand and walking to get Samandriel and Michael for the first time in a while was happy.
