i was sitting at my desk, doing homework and listening to my favorite singer justin bieber, when i got a text from an unknown number.

unknown: hey james ! i just got to new york, wanna meet up for a drink and a bite?

candice: lol this isn't james

unknown: oh sorry ! who are you then?

candice: why would i tell you, you could be a 60 year old pervert

unknown: aha i promise i'm not. i'm 18

candice: hmm okay. i'm 17

unknown: soo what's your name? and what do you look like?

candice: it's candice and you?

unknown: can't tell you that information babe x

candice: um okay why?

unknown: i just can't. i'm sorry xx

candice: lmao whatever bye hope you find james.

whoever that was annoyed me. i mean i told them and showed them who i was, the least they could do was do the same. i was really wanting to know who this person was and why they still kept talking to me. who knows. i was bored so i called my friend lakelynn to see if she wanted to come over.

*flash foward to 30 minutes later*

i heard a knock on the door assuming it was lakelynn. i ran down the stairs and opened the door.

"hey girl!" she yelled

"heyyyy whats up" i said

"well i was thinking that we could go out to dinner or something?" she asked

"yeah! lets go get ready." i said

we went up the stairs to my room and started to get ready for the night out. my parents were out of town with my brother for his baseball tournament and my sister was at her boyfriends house so we didn't have to worry about a curfew or anything.

we get all cute and start to head out into the city. its about a 30 minute subway ride so for the mean time just chat and joke around.

shortly, we arrive into the city hopping off the subway and walking to the restaurant. we get settled into a booth and order our drinks when lakelynn looks  behind her wide eyed and whisper/screams to me.

"candice look right behind me! theres a hot tall brown haired dude basically staring at you!"

i did as she said and i met eyes with the most gorgeous human being i've ever seen. he smiled at me and i looked away smiling and blushing. i looked up again and saw him once again staring at me.

"dude he's so into you, go talk to him!" lakelynn said.

right as i was about to get up, he started walking towards our booth.

"hi i'm shawn, i just can't get passed your beauty. i had to come over and talk to you." he said

i looked at lakelynn with my mouth hanging open. HE WAS SO HOT AND SO SWEET.

"uh hi i'm candice, would you like to sit?"
i said nervously smiling

he sat down and we ended up talking for a few hours. he was so sweet and charming and he gave me butterflies.

"hey i've gotta go check into my hotel room. wanna trade numbers?" shawn asked

i look up to him and smile.

"so you're the unknown number" i said smirking

"sure am babe. text me" he said winking and walking away.

i know i just met this kid, but woah he's got me feeling some type of way.
