Smile

chapter two

Day broke and they were off to the next camp. 10k laied down to get some sleep while everyone enjoyed the ride. "Um 10k you have to braid my hair." Kat nagged as she shook 10k. He sighed and sat up while she sat facing away from him. He gently braided her tangled hair.

When he was done, he started to lay back down, but again Kat stopped him. "No don't fall asleep I wanna talk." Kat whined. 10k looked at her in disbelief. "Let 10k sleep." Addy orders. Kat looks at Addy for a moment before crossing her arms and looking another direction. 10k finally laid down to sleep.

An hour later they pulled up to the camp. Warren got out of the truck and headed to talk to the guards. Doc got out of the back seat of the truck and looked into the tail gate. A light snore from 10k made Doc chuckle at him.

Doc shook 10k and he opened his eyes. "Hey kid we are at the camp rise and shine." He said while still chuckling.

He sat up and smiled at Doc. "God its about damn time you got up." Kat said annoyed. 10k looked at her then to Addy who shrugged. "Guys let's go!" Warren yelled. Kat looked to Warren and saw a boy her age at the gate. She perked up and hurried over to the boy. 10k sat up and watched her.

She has done it again. He felt his heart break once more, and he has had enough. 10k turned towards Dov. "Can I go shoot something?" He asked with a shaky voice. Doc shook his head. "I know it hurts kid, but we have to get inside." He says. Everyone begins to stand and they get out of the truck. 10k walks behind them watching Kat smile and laugh with the boy.

Doc stood next to 10k. "Come on kid, maybe it's time you find someone else." Doc says putting a hand on 10k shoulder. They followed behind the group as they walked towards the building. "I just don't get it...why does she do this?" 10k asked getting a firm on his sniper.

Addy held the door open for the two to get inside. "10k she's just a little player." Mack says as he shuts the door when Addy gets inside. Addy stands with them while they all watch Kat get to close for comfort with the boy. Addy looks around the room. Her eyes land on a girl that near 10ks age. She has blue and blound hair, pale skin, and (you can choose if she wears glasses or not).

Addy put her hand on 10ks shoulder. "That girl over there seems cute." Addy says pointing over to her. Right on cue the girl looks over from her clip board over to 10k, Addy, Mack, and Doc. Her eyes looked over them, and when she saw 10k, she smiled.
