Hello! This is my first fanfiction. Please enjoy and excuse any mispelling or errors I've made. I hope you enjoy! Updates will be as frequent as possible
Age 6.
"(Y/N), be careful, you'll break something. Take Garth outside and play instead." You ran as fast as your little feet could carry you, Garth, your ferret, following close behind with a toy. You got Garth when you turned six on May 15th, the present best you had ever received.
You were an only child, so the animal companion brightened up your world a bit. It was kind of a break from the strict rules, 'guidlines', that were endowed by your parents. Your family holds a great honor to the wizarding world, so they must raise a perfect child. At such a young age, you thought you were perfect.
Everyday you awoke at eight, finished breakfast by nine, lunch was at noon, and dinner was served at seven. The routine was never broken, and your parents always had someone join for dinner. A business partner most likely.
Age 8.
Still an only child, your parents embarked on your early studies. Your grades in the future were to be nothing but higher than a B. You didn't like the studying, but you did whatever you could to make you parents happy.
Your best subject was potion making. It didn't make your mother to happy, but she went with it, hoping you'd soon take on something else. Like transfiguration, or charms. But nothing could tear you away.
Your father on the other hand, was never around until dinner. Probably at work, but you never got to spend one on one time with him. So you didn't know him personally. He seemed nice.
You'd always ask you mother where he was all the time, she just replyed "work." You always asked her while she was brushing your (H/T) (H/C) hair in the morning.
Age 11.
It was May 15th, and you had finally turned 11. You were well prepared for the year to come forth and begin. Excitement bubbled inside you all summer. You had received your letter and everything was flying by.
August approached and your mother and you went shopping for your supplies. Diagon alley was perhaps the most extravagant place you had ever seen. You retrieved the finest robes, the best quality books, a shiny cauldron, your favorite, and now it was time to go get your first wand.
Your mother led you to Ollivanders down the alley way. The shop was a little rusty on the outside and it shocked you that your mother would willingly go into such a place. You, on the other hand, didn't mind a tad. It was nice to change up the views embedded in your perfect eyes.
Inside was dusty and cluttered. Your mother shuddered slightly but covered it with a smile when she saw Ollivander. His wrinkly smile rested on my face as he shuffled up to us. He beckoned me to follow him so we could take a look at the wands.
Many boxes lined every inch of wall. He shuffled his feet and took a shaky hand to select a box very carefully. He opened it and handed you the wand. Snatching it away as fast as he had given it to you. Many wands later, he handed you a wand that was black cherry colored and almost a foot long. He beamed as it fit nicely in your hand and swooned at you.
Shopping was done at last. You could now return home. It was still daylight and passed lunch, your mum bought the both of you something to eat on the way home. She seemed to not mind breaking routine just this once. But soon you were home anyways and it didn't matter.
