Chapter 7- Hidden Creatures

It's been about two weeks into this dreaded school year. The only thing I ever look forward to now is my current mission with "mister mystery", and potions class. Defense against the dark arts is weird now that snape teaches it.

I'm still a little sad about Garth, I don't think I'll ever get over it. My nightmares last night really shook me up. It's an unwanted task to even go to sleep.

I finished my breakfast that morning and headed to charms. The subject my mother had hoped would be my favourite. Am I really supposed to be a slytherin? How did I end up here in my life.

But guess who sat next to me today? Draco. A lovely surprise I guess. "Hey Draco." I said as he looked down at me to take his seat. "Morning (L/N). I hope you don't mind if I sit here today." I didn't.

It was a bit odd, but I didn't question it. Charms began shortly after. Professor Flitwick was demonstrating a new charm today. Alarte Acsendere. It was interesting enough. Then we separated into partners. "Hermione with Ron, Lavana with Alma, Samantha with Liliana, Draco with me, Harry and luna,...."

I couldn't help but blush a little. Especially with this charm, this will be fun. "You go first (Y/N), be careful haha." He chuckled as he stood infront of me, waiting for me to use the charm. I cleared my throat and pointed my wand at him, everyone else was attempting to make the charm work. "Alarte Ascendere." The words flowed casually from my mouth and Draco lifted into the air. "Well done (L/N)! You've done it!"

Everyone turned to look at Draco hanging effortlessly in the air. They applauded and I released the charm, a little to harshly and he plummeted to the ground with a thud. I rushed to help him up. "Oh my gosh, I'm sorry draco!" He got to his feet and laughed, "Don't worry haha." I felt a little bad, but it was quite funny.

After charms it was a free period for me. I was going to go to the library, apparently it was Draco's free period as well. He looked up and smiled a little at me, he motioned for me to come sit next to him. "Where's crabe and goyle?" I asked. "They have transfiguration right now." I nodded in return.

He was reading a book. "What are you reading?" He smirked, "Hidden creatures." My heart fluttered a little, flashing back to the origami flower. "Oh, that's interesting. I was going to look for that myself, haha." I laughed nervously. He looked into my eyes, his were a light blue, they complimented his hair nicely.

"Don't worry about that, I mean, someone like you, you are a hidden creature, aren't you?" I froze a moment, not knowing what to say. He noticed I was blushing and smirked down at his book. "This book has some interesting drawings, beautiful creatures, I wish I could draw such things. Then maybe I could depict you." I laughed, "Why me? I'm sure I'm not that interesting enough to be the view of an artist." "Don't say that, I must get going. I'll see you around (Y/N)." I waved goodbye as he walked away.

He left his book behind and I considered calling for him, I looked down at the book and noticed a loose parchment. I lifted it out and flipped it over. It was a drawing of a girl sitting on a stone bench with leaves blowing around and in her hair. It was titled "daisy."

I ran to the hallway, but Draco was already gone...
