I put all I had in my dorm room. No one else was here but me. I decided to do something I had never done before. Confront my parents. In letter form, but I would finally do it. They needed to know what they had done to me. How simple it would have been to end my miserable life before it started.

I grabbed a quill and some parchment. I starred a good long time before I started to ink my thoughts on to the paper.

If you decide to read this, you need to know what you have done to me. All these years, you never told me what I was meant to do. Then when I became a slytherin, you ripped me from your life as much as you could. Not even then bothering to tell me what could happen. Why didn't you just honor the deal and turn over my innocent demise? Never did I expect this from such an 'honorable' family. Maybe you never really loved me, never got to attached, because you knew. You knew all along that this would happen. That he would hunt me down and you would soon be rid of me. Well, I fell in love with someone. Someone who thought I was everything and more. And how ironic, that's how I was found, through him. When it was time for me to die. He, Draco, the one I love, saved me from the wand of the dark lord. Now he is dead. But he showed me something I hadn't known for a long time. Now he's dead. I'm back at Hogwarts and I will finish my schooling. But don't expect to ever find me in your home again. I was never wanted there. I also suspect that I will need to defend myself, if, I want to live. But I'm not so sure on that part either. So if you get news of my death. It wasn't by the wand of the dark lord, but the wands of the deal makers. Mother, father, grandfather, I hope you are all happy for the years of depression you've caused me. Now I have more of it than ever. I've got things to take care of. And I will be more successful than any of you. Than anyone in this retched family. This is the last you will here from me, so cherish it or burn it as you will. So long, I'm proud to be a slytherin, you will never understand.

I finished the letter and took it down to the owlery. I set in on a stand, waiting for an owl to take its pick. A tall black owl swooped down, clasping the letter in its claws, starring at me. As if it were wondering that I really wanted to send it. I gave the owl a treat, and it flew up and up and out the window.

I felt a mixture of relief and guilt wash over me. If they read that letter, they would finally know. As I do now. Even the owl knew. What a strange world to live in.
