Jasper X Reader (Female)

Chapter 2

Still shaken from your nightmare, you find yourself blanketed by Jaspers muscular arm. The weight of it keeps you down, and it's almost time to open up shop, so you take a risk by waking her up.
It's been 3 weeks now and Jasper seems to have warmed up to you... but she's been locked in your bedroom this whole time, it feels like you're keeping her locked up.
You poke her face, "Jasper. I have to get up now," and she opens her bright yellow eyes.
Her hair is a mess and she has a bit of drool coming from her mouth. Her hair is a mess, just like yours but more of it.
"What is this... feeling?" Her face has a confused look on it, the question is a bit hard to answer. You try to think of how to put it, "Well, when you take a nap, your body doesn't want to wake up, so it makes you feel like this," You look back at her and she still seems confused.                               
She doesn't ask again, but instead she picks you up and puts you on the floor.
You stare at each other for a minute like you both expect the other to do something.
"Umm..." You speak up, "I need to get dressed."
Jasper looks at you with another confused face, "Your appearance modifiers aren't melded to your body?" She sits down on the bed and waits.
You usually don't wake Jasper, you change while she's still sleeping, but this time it's different.
You realize that gems must not understand human lifestyle, so you politely ask her to leave the room.
"How do I know that you won't try to escape?" She takes back what she said as soon as she sees that you are a five foot girl that doesn't want to jump out of a window.
She looks at the stairs and walks down them.
You strip down and slip on some jeans and a t-shirt. Slipping on your apron for the shop, you begin to search for Jasper.
She isn't in the living room, so you look around the corner and there she is.
Jasper has found the Cheetos. She must have gotten into the pantry.
"What is the point of this?" She popped them open and the orange dust surrounded her.
You laugh and she looks down into the bag. She pulls one out.
You explain that humans need to eat and this is food.
"Humans need to eat food to survive. This is a type of food, called Cheetos."
She inspects the cheesy chunk again, this time dropping the bag.
You pick up the bag and demonstrate how to eat. Thinking of it, she reminds you of a Cheeto Puff.
She follows your example and puts it in her mouth. Her eyes expand and she takes the bag from you stuffing them in her mouth.
You giggle again and think of something.
"Hey Jasper, do you want to help me in the shop?" She looks at you, confused again.
You grab an extra large apron for her and tie it around her waist.
"What is the point of this?" She demands.
"Well, it's so you don't get any of the food on your clothes, and it looks good," you're attempt at flirting may not have come off that way judging by her response.
She begins to go down into the shop, but you stop her, "You have to tie your hair back first."
You go to tie it back and it's surprisingly soft. You want to lay in it and go to sleep, but you don't think Jasper would take kindly to that.
You watch her walk down the stairs, her ponytail bouncing. You have never felt so attracted to anyone before, but that's stupid. She's a gem and you're a human. It would never work.
Though you know this you can't help but fantasize of her cradling you and covering you in kisses.
You stop daydreaming and focus on your work, showing Jasper how to make the y/f and where to put it.
You flip the sign to open and see Steven walking down the street. This is bad. The gems wouldn't be very happy if a gem that hates them, as she had told you earlier, was being cared for by a human.
You tell her to go upstairs and wait, hoping she does what you ask.
Thankfully, she agrees and heads up and you tell her not to come down until you say.
Just as you get her up there, Steven walks in.
