I walk into the building, holding my ID over the desk, I hear the 'ding' sound indicating I'm clocked in. The sliver doors slide open, I take a quick breath before walking inside "You must be out new intern" a lady says smiling "Yes ma'am" I say quietly messing with my earring "Right this way" she says walking towards a room with a label 'Studio 1' "I've heard you're good with music and soundtracks, my boss decided to let you do more hands on work" she says opening the door "Thank you" I say walking inside, seeing 2 guys that look older than me and tomboyish like girl sitting down writing something down. The lady clears her throat, causing the girl to look up at me, we make eye contact for awhile. I finally look away
playing with my earring "This is the new intern, she's a little more advanced then the rest so she will be helping y'all today" she says smiling then closing the door behind her "What's ya name?" One boy asks, I softly say my name "Babygirl yeen gotta be shy" he says smiling, I sit down in the roll chair, scooting towards the equipment "So which one of yall is the artist" I say "Me" the girl says scooting the chair next to me "I got a beat, but it need some tweaking" she says, I turn the speaker on, playing the beat out loud, I listen & vibe with the beat a little "Alright" I say turning off the speaker and putting the headphones on. I softly nod my head editing her original beat.
About an hour later, I turn the speaker back on getting their attention blasting the new beat, they start nodding their heads smiling. The lady from the front walks in "You're good baby" she says "Thank you" I say.
Hours passed, we finalized the girl's song, her name is Kodie btw. I stand up grabbing my purse and walking out the studio, I hear someone call my name from behind, I turn my head seeing Kodie walk up to me "You need a ride?" She asks in a friendly tone "Um" I say playing with my earring, looking down at my phone "Yeah" I say, she pulls her keys out her pocket walking outside. I scan my ID over the desk clocking out and follow her.
"Thanks" I say jumping out the car, she waves at me, I wave back walking into the condo building.
