3:00am
I feel my body jump as I wake up hearing something hit the floor, I reach over to turn on my lamp, nothing. The power must be out I grab my phone running to the window looking through it seeing a white car parked outside. I immediately call Kodie the only friend I got in Atlanta... Please answer I think to myself "Hello" she says sleepily "He's in my house" I whispered my voice cracking "Who?" She says I hear her moving in the background "My ex! Kodie please I see his car, he's dangerous & he's in my house the power is out I don't know how close he is" I say a tear rolling down my cheek "I'm coming" she says "don't hang up" I whispered hiding in the closet. I scoot back as far as I could into the corner "Yn" Kodie says "Yes?" I whisper "Im outside" she says I lower the brightness on my phone kind of using it as a flashlight, I carefully open the closet door creeping out slowly checking my surroundings, I run to the window jumping out and running to Kodie's car.
My body then relaxed after closing the car door "You okay?" She asked placing her hand on my thigh, I shake my head looking out the window as she drives off.
I walk in the guest room Kodie shows me "This so unprofessional, I'm supposed to be working for you not living with you" I say looking down playing with my fingers "It's alright shit happens sometimes" she says walking out closing the door behind her. I lay down on the bed trying to relax my mind.
NEXT DAY
I wake up walking the hall looking for Kodie's room, I softly knock on the door opening it "Wassup" she groans sitting up "I don't know how to turn the shower on and I need clothes " I say looking at her " C'mere " she says walking into her bathroom turning the shower on, I walk in the bathroom as she walks out stripping then hopping in the shower.
I figure out how to turn the shower off wrapping the towel around my body and peeking my head out the door " Kodie" I say she stands up handing me one of her shirts and some leggings, I close the door quickly putting the clothes on I walk out seeing Kodie getting dressed " My bad" I walk passed her feeling her pull me back "You gone have to stay with me little while til you get this under control" she says "Will ole girl be upset?" I ask playing with my earring "She can't do anything about it, it's after your work hours." She said fixing her grill in the mirror "Ok" I say staring a little then snapping out of it walking out the room.
