Hi. My name is Garrett. This is my story, from beginning to end: my journey through Alola. It was a good run I think. I met friends, made enemies, conquered, survived, and experienced things few people have the chance to. I felt emotions I'd never felt before and created memories in unforgettable places with unforgettable people. Some stayed. Some left. But I remembered all of them until the end.
I found bonds I didn't know could exist between myself and my pokemon. No. That's not even what they should be called. They are truly my family, stronger than any I know.
Their spirits burned with love, bent outside the norm, shocked those who they conquered, quaked the hearts of their opponents, poisoned the hearts of enemies with fear, and washed away gloom and sadness wherever they journeyed.
This is the story of my team and me. And this is how it begins.

I suppose you want to know a bit about me first.

I lived in Kanto with my mom. I never knew my dad. It was my eleventh birthday the day she told me we were moving to some island region called Alola. Mom had some friends in Alola, Professors Kukui and Burnette, who had helped us get a house. Mom said it was right outside the biggest city around. I was actually excited.
We were packing one night when Professor Kukui video-called to set up my trainer passport.
Garrett. Age 11. Blue eyes. Pale skin with a noticable tan. Dark blond hair. Just under 6 feet tall. Lanky with muscled legs.
A small brown dog pokemon hit the keyboard, ending the call. Kukui had gave a hearty farewell already.
I turned back and continued packing, my mind turning over the excitement I felt as I prepared for this.

3 months passed.

My journey began.
