The Dreadful End

A/N: this was written 3+ years ago. I Truly believe that God gave me the idea for this hard-hitting piece of poetry, which basically condemns the church for its failure to urgently spread the gospel to a lost and degenerating world. But if this is accurate to any degree for even a single church, it would be a tragedy. My purpose with this book is to awaken the church, the Body of Christ, since we do not know the hour or day of His return. And I accuse myself first and foremost with these words...

The Dreadful End

Without a loving relationship with Christ

our end will be dreadful, in fact horrific

Everlasting punishment and damnation

Judgment of wrath for all we have wrought

upon ourselves

We don't seem to shudder at the prospect

In fact, we sin unashamedly, without pausing

to reflect on the consequences

And we who claim Christ sit in our pews

and let the world fall into Hell...

When we do little or nothing for perishing souls

on whom us depend

We spread dis-grace and share the blame

for their dreadful end

{Ouch...}
