Melting Heart

Rob's Pov

Preston was about to die. He was frozen in fear and couldn't move. I broke into and sprint and lunged at him, pushing me and him out of the way just as the tree falls. But the world was so intent on killing him, his body slid across the ice and with a startled shriek fell of the ledge. Only his claws where hanging on, saving him from a fifty feet drop. I got up and looked over the edge and tried to grab his fluff. I did and started to pull him up. Once he was up we both collapse panting. "Let's never do this again" he pants, "why did you save me?" he suddenly asks. For once that was a question I couldn't seem to answer. About the time I met him I could care less if he died in the most painful way possible, and now I saved him twice. "I have no clue" I respond honestly. "Your ok!" Lachlan yells jumping on my back. "Surprisingly" I mumble making Vikk laugh. Lachlan gets off me and hugs Preston while I get up. "So off once again to the mountain?" Vikk says, we all nod and start walking up the mountain again. As we reach the top I hear the faint sound of crying. Preston rushes over to a Bush and pulls out a crying Eevee. "Preston if she's cold warm her up!" I exclaim running over. A bit of smoke starts to come from his body as the shaking cold Eevee starts to relax. All of us are now laying down crouding around the poor Eevee, and Preston. The Eevee opens it's eyes and I'm surprised to see that there blue, a bit darker then mine. "D-Dad?" the Eevee asks confused, by it's tone it's a girl. "No I'm not your dad sorry kid" I say sadly, what is wrong with me! Now I'm being nice and feeling sympathy! "What's your name?" Lachlan asks. "I-I'm Masey" the Eevee stutters. A gasp comes from Lachlan. "Its so pretty!" Lachlan exclaims pawing at Masey's tail. There was a tiny blue flower in it. "The suns settings guys" Vikk says looking at the sun as it lowers. We all sit happily watching the sun, Masey joining us. After the sun sets the Vikk and Lachlan along with Masey head down the mountain. I stay however and so does Preston. Pawing nervously at the ground I look at Preston. "I don't know what you've done to me" I mutter staring into his brown eyes. "I'm changing Preston, and I don't like it" I continue. Preston steps forward making us nose to nose, "I like this change Robby, your nicer" Preston purrs. A blush crosses my face, "this is love isn't it?" I ask. "Yeah I guess it is" Preston says, then he closes the gap between us. My cold heart is melting.
