Hello! You probably know me already, but I'll introduce myself anyway:
My name is Amber Stone, and I am the most popular girl in my high school. I'd like to think I'm the most beautiful, too, as many boys have already said. I have long gold hair and emerald eyes, and I have a perfect athletic figure, since I do track and swim.
What's my goal right now? To date the hottest guy in school, Percy Jackson. He has windswept black hair and seagreen eyes with an undertone of blue that i could get lost in. He's on the swim team, and I think we're pretty close.
When other girls ask him out, though, he always claims he already has a girlfriend. I suspect he doesn't want to get into an awkward situation. Thoughtful of him.
Alrighty! Time for our last swim meet in the finals. Wish me luck!

We lined up at the edge of the pool- Percy, another boy named Harry, and me.
I heard cheers from the stands and looked over.
A group of teenagers I had never seen before had taken over one side of the stands. There was a gorgeous girl with choppy brown hair holding hands with a blond superman, and an Asian boy had his arm around a girl with frizzy gold hair. A boy with a mop of blond hair had enveloped a goth boy with shaggy black hair in a hug. The goth didn't seem too enthused. On their left was a scrawny boy with curly brown hair poking at an inhumanly beautiful girl.
Finally there was a tall blond with blond princess curls and a perfect tan. She shouted Percy's name loud and clear, as did the others.
Who were these people? They definitely didn't go to my school.
Then the whistle blew, and I dove into the pool, cutting effortlessly through the water.
Somehow, Percy had arrived at the edge of the pool ages before the rest of us, winning the meet. I stared, smiling, as Percy lifted his muscled arms to the cheers rocking the natatorium.
"Percy, you won!" I shouted, climbing out of the pool and running into his arms.
He gave me a quick squeeze. "You did good, Amber." Then he let me go, leaving me stunned as he beamed at an approaching girl.
It was the blond from earlier. As I watched, they kissed, and the group of teens swarmed around them, squeezing into a group hug.
I whirled around, frustrated. My foot slipped on the wet tile, and my arms flailed wildly.
"Whoa!"
Strong hands grabbed my shoulders. I looked up to see Harry, the other boy on our team.
He's kinda cute, I noted. And without even thinking about it further, I kissed him.
We broke apart, and I smiled. So did he.

"Hey, Amber!"
I turned, pulling Harry along with me. Percy was approaching with the blond. Both were smiling wide.
It was the afterparty. I had invited everyone to my house to celebrate, including the new group of Percy's friends. I saw it as extremely generous of me.
I smiled at the couple. "Hey! You two enjoying the party?"
Percy's girlfriend nodded. "The architecture in this place is amazing. I'm Annabeth, by the way. Your name is Amber, right?"
We shook hands, and the couple moved on.
My new boyfriend, Harry, squeezed my hand. "Isn't Annabeth great?" he sighed.
"You know her?"
"The rest, too. I go to a camp with them during the summer. They're all very popular around there."
The night went on. Instead of being bitter, I saw how amazing a couple Percy and Annabeth was. I just couldn't be mad at either of them. I guess people can change, huh?
And that's how I met Percabeth.

FanfictionHey guys! Yes, this is extremely overdone, but I'm going to do my best and put a new twist on some things! Unlike most other books like this I've read, I am going to make the "mean girls" more realistic. For example, they won't just run up to Percy...
