Burning eye lids keeping us awake
Beating hearts seeing us together
Shallow words lodged in our throats
As swollen lips grow sore forever
Leaning casually in each other's embrace
Sweater weather inside warm walls
Movie playing but eyes awry
As our passion consumes our minds
We slowly melt into each other's embrace we become one
Tell morning lights cause closed and calm eyelids to open
Begrudgingly with a hearty groan
Blankets shift and feet grow cold
Pushing us to move from our sanctuary, our abode
Running water and soapy hair
Getting ready for things we wish we could bare
Quite words from mouths half full
Of morning bagels stale
To, too hot coffee with the rush to bail
As clocks tick a tremendous countdown
We sprint to the stairs
Our work , our jobs begin to take persistence
Tell we can come home again unconnected with
The greed and pain of money and papers
To keep us sane enough to go on again
Tell the next casual encompass
The next sweet serenity
Tell we can tell each other how much we love this remedy
And in other words us
