Eleanor

Once I got back to the apartment, it was already 3 AM and I was the only one up. Both Lionel and Cleo crashed and I planned on joining them. I quickly locked the door, turned off any light around and stumbled to my room. It wasn't long before sleep overcame me.

"Psst! Nora, wake up!" A voice pierced through my dreams and brought me back to reality. I started to groan a bit and flickered open my eyes. The tanish figure filled my sight, standing next to my bed. "I managed to make Pancakes that, in Cleo's words, "Aren't total crap" so come on and eat them before we do. They're getting cold." I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes, sitting up and letting out a yawn. "Okay... What time is it?"

Her brown eyes darted to the clock. "It's 9:14." She spoke, then paused. She examined my sleepy state, knitting her eyebrows together. "How late were you up last night?" My legs found themselves to the side of the bed and carefully, I stood up. "Like 3." Lionel stifled a laugh. "Well, if you want you can sleep and just heat up the pancakes." I shook my head, grabbing my phone off the charger. "Nah, I'm already up."

Lionel and I entered the kitchen, her first with me trailing behind. I took a seat on the other side of the pair, a plate already provided. On the table was three regular plates and one large one, bearing the hill of food on it. Cleo was munching on one and soon, the other joined her. I just sat there for a moment, then snagged one of them and slathered it in syrup. As I was chewing, Lionel started to speak. "So what took you an hour to come back? It was not even one when I left and you just said you were going to pick up some Magikarps."

I chuckled for a moment. "Funny you should say that." I quickly booted up the app on my phone and showed off my Gyarados. Both of their eyes widened. "Aww, no fair!" I just smirked. "You snooze you lose! Quite literally in your case." Both of them seemed to pout, but I wasn't even done. "However, Gyarados was only the second best thing of the night."

Both gave me an interested look. "What?" Demanded Cleo. I grinned wildly. "I met someone."

"Who?"

"AmazingPhil. I-"

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

An inhuman noise came out of Lionel, startling both of us. I paused my story, just trying to process what happened. She just laughed in response. "I have no idea what that was but.... Go on."

I stifled a laugh. "Alrighty then... Basically, I might have ran into him. Like literary. We were both going for the Gyarados and weren't looking where we were going, hit each other head on and I dropped my phone." The pair started to giggle. "You would meet him like that." I pouted a little but didn't say anything. It was true.

"Anyways, we talked for awhile, exchanged numbers and parted ways." I took another bite out of my pancake as I finished off my story. "Lucky..." I snickered. "Well Lion, I'm a lucky person. Anyways, wanna record that game I was talking about?" They gave me a weird look before remembering. "Oh yeah. Actually, I was thinking about doing it at night since it's a horror game." I nodded along. "I'm okay with that."

As I finished up my meal, my phone buzzed. I checked it, and my heart dropped. "Holy crap." I spoke out loud as I processed that this was happening. Phil had texted me. I quickly read it.

Phil: Hey! Sorry if I'm waking you but would you like to go out and get some coffee? It doesn't have to be coffee in case you don't drink it. I know a place that has all sorts of drinks. :)

My heart started to pound out of my chest. I froze up, trying to figure out the perfect response. "Hey, we aren't too busy today? I'm free until tonight?" Cleo shrugged. "Well... Yeah but I think Lionel wanted to play Happy Wheels." Upon hearing her name, Lionel perked up. "I'll be fine on my own if you have plans." I smiled and nodded. Eventually, I decided on the perfect response.
