Chapter 1- Streaming

Eleanor

"Hello everybody! Bet you were thinking that you weren't going to see me today but," I grinned wildly, brushing my long hair back. "I got done packing a little while ago and the rest can wait. As you know, I am a master procrastinator."

Smiling for the camera, I adjusted my headset. "I managed to set up the system in about an hour. There some things that need fixing but," I shrugged. "It'll work for now. Okay everybody. Today, I thinking we're gonna do Overwatch. I'm in the mood for some first person shooter and Overwatch just sounds so good right now, you know?" My eyes flicked over to the ever moving comments and smiled at the responses. "From what I'm seeing, you are all okay with that so, ONWARDS!" I roared and booted up the game.

While I was waiting, I sat back in the comfortable black gaming chair and just grinned. How I loved being a YouTuber. Honestly it was the best job I could ask for. Demanding sure and sometimes draining but nothing else compared to entertaining people with something that I loved to do. Making people smile was my job, and according to the fans, I was doing a good job.

I ran one and a third of a channel. One of them was called Nora'sCode, which was a play on my nickname, Nora which came off of Eleanor and Code because of computers and gaming. Because of this, I called my fans "My Ones and Zeros" because in things like Binary Code, they use Ones and Zeros to make up the code, just like my fans make me possible. I am really proud of myself for thinking of it. I did games on my own, various ones like RPG's, some first person shooters and other fun ones along with vlogs and even the occasional skit and animations. That channel had been going on for about two years or so and had reached 1.3 million subscribers, which I was lucky to have. I never even dreamed of getting that close and it was so weird.

The other channel which I was a co-owner of was called Lion'sCodePatra. There, I was one out of three people. There was me, LionLovesGaming and ParadoxPatra, or as I knew them, Lionel and Cleo, in that order. They were some of my best friends and we had been running it for about a year or so and was almost at one million and growing at a very alarming rate. There, I did the same content but with my friends. It was a lot of fun and I wouldn't give it up for the world.

The three of us used to live in different parts of the world but then came together and lived with one another. A while ago, we all made a decision to move to the UK, or Great Britain. Of course, we had to choose London for the city we lived it. After making arrangements, we flew here and up until a while ago, I was unpacking and trying to get rid of the intense jet lag I was experiencing. After quite a while of that, I got bored and set up my computer and other gaming equipment and started to stream.

Needless to say, the people subscribed to me were surprised. They knew about it and thought I wouldn't be doing anything today. With a smirk on my face, I watched the chat blow up.

"So I got off the plane a couple hours ago or so, I'm not really sure, I wasn't paying attention to the time. Anyways, it's really weird here. Did you know that England drives on the opposite side of the road than America? That was sure a surprise." I chuckled to myself and shook my head. "Also hearing that everyone here has a British accent makes me feel like I'm in a Doctor Who episode. I love it though. Accents are great man."

As the game started to boot up, I sat up in my chair and cracked my knuckles, then immediately shot my eyes to the chat. I laughed at the comments. "Dude, half of you are so bothered by that! It's the releasing the air in my fingers! I promise I didn't break anything." I held up my hands as proof that doing it doesn't harm anything. The chat did not calm down. I just kept laughing.

"Okay, okay fine. I'll try not to do it for the rest of the stream, okay?" I nodded my head into the face cam and waited for responses. They seemed satisfied so I nodded again. "Okay then, it's a deal. Now! On to business. It is time for me to kick some butt and by that I also mean I'm going to get pummeled because I suck at this." I joked then started to join a match. I tapped my nails against the table making a satisfying clicking noise. Then a thought occurred and I stopped.
