I was lying in a pool of darkness.

Everything around me felt like water. I felt lighter than a feather. I wiggle my fingers and smiled as the cool liquid formed dark ripples. This isn't exactly how I pictured heaven but I wasn't complaining. Everything was absolutely perfect and peaceful.

Except this hideous beeping noise.

Seriously? Who needs alarm clocks in heaven?

What are you going to wake up early for? Choir practice?

I attempted to flail my arms around and shut off the stupid machine, but what had I previously considered lighter than a feather had turned into two tons of brick holding me down.

I couldn't move.

I began to panic. This is not heaven. Heaven is happy, right? What if this is hell?

What have I done to deserve this?

Maybe it was the whole perving over One Direction thing.

Craaap.

Forgive me, for I have sinned.

And I'm sorry for stealing Jim Cransen's eraser in third grade.

I swear, it wasn't a distraction so that I could cheat off of his spelling quiz.

I honestly needed an eraser.

Besides, everyone knows how to spell dandelion. That was not the word I was stuck on.

Not that I was stuck on a word.

"Jessica," I heard a faint voice call.

Sweet baby Jesus, The Lord heard my prayers.

"God?" I asked bluntly.

"Jessica," the voice said again.

Why did God sound so feminine?

"Jessie! Get the hell up, you crazy ol' derp!"

Nope, definitely not God.

Somehow I would think he had better comebacks.

I heard a faint slapping sound.

"Ow! The hell, Pez?" The voice said.

Suddenly, the water around me vanished and I became somewhat aware of my surroundings. I realized my eyes were closed. They had been closed the whole entire time.

What's going on?

My eyelids fluttered open. The light from wherever I was flooded my vision and all I saw was a giant blur of colors. My eyes began to focus and I scream at the sight in front if me.

A girl with purple hair is in my face, staring intensely at me with a wild grin. "Hi!" She chirped.

Oh. My. God.
