one faint memory of his smile could send her into another fit of sadness.

she leaned her head against the lavender colored walls of her room.

enclosed in these walls were her trying to assure herself that it wasn't happening.

that she wasn't all alone again.

that she wasn't left to wallow deeper into her sorrow.

if she looked to her friends for help, they would always say the same thing;

"get over him! there are other fish in the sea!"

and it was making her go insane.

she couldn't get over him that easily.

she pulled at her hair, banging her head softly on the wall.

why would he pick up my heart then leave it there, to encase itself in walls higher than skyscrapers, and thicker than concrete?

she then knew it was happening.

her heart was collapsing.

because she heard her heart breaking into a million undetectable shards.
