I looked at the thick oak door. Memories were embedded into the red paint that covered it. I looked down at my sister and she reached out and took my hand. I looked down at her and nodded. She looked back at the door and I continued to stare at her. "She has grown up so fast," I thought to myself, "she was a child, but now she is a young women." I reached out and hesitated to grab the handle.

The door was locked. The only way to unlock it, inside and out, is by a key. The back door?" Clare asked and looked up to me. "Let's go." I said quietly. We walked to the door that led to the back yard. We didn't hesitate this time. We yanked the door open and standing there was our mother. She had a man with her this time.
