Chapter 6
Rachels pov:
I knocked on the door and Layla opened it.
"Mom." She said suprised to see me.
"Layla." I said relieved and hugged her.
"I'm so sorry mom, oh god you were right, I should've never came here." She told me.
"Why what happened?" I asked her sitting down on my old bed.
"Dad is horrible, he's a drunk and he's nothing like he used to be." She told me.
"Oh sweetie , I'm so sorry." I said and hugged her.
"No I'm sorry, I should've never left New York , you can ground me for as long as you want or better yet I'll ground myself for 2 months no phone, no tv, I won't even stay after school for debate team." She said feeling guilty.
"Honey, that's a little bit extreme." I said.
"I deserve extreme." She said.
"Come here." I said and she sat down an I held her close to me.
"Layla, you have every right to see your father. I want you to know who he is and I want you to know him. But I also want us to not feel like we need to hide anything. The reason our relationship is so great is because we never have to hide a thing from each other and I want to keep it that which is why you're only ground for 3 weeks with no tv and no cellphone ." I told her.
"That seems fair." She said and I gave her hug.
"Now you wanna go see your dad?" I asked her.
"Mom, dads a lot different then you described." She said.
"I'm sure thats not true at all." I said.
(McKinley)
We pulled up to McKinley and walked into the school.
"I haven't been here in so long, this is where your dad and I met . We fell in love here." I said and we walked into the glee club.
"Hey Mr.Shue." I said as Layla and walked into the choir room.
"Rachel, Layla, what are you guys doing here?" He asked me.
"Well I had to come get this one at some point." I said.
He gave me a hug and said,
"It's good to see you again, and Layla you look so grown." He told us.
"Thanks Uncle Shue." She said and he gave her a hug.
"So I have to ask, where's Finn." I asked him.
He sighed and said,
"Rachel, before you see him you should know Finn is a lot different then he used to be." He told me.
"How so?" I asked him.
"Yo Shuester!" Finn said completely drunk.
"Finn!" I said shocked.
