N x Reader ((Break))

"Oppa! Where have you been? I've been waiting here for over an hour!" I cried out into my phone. 

"(Y/N). I told you to stop calling me 'oppa'. It's embarrassing. Plus, I'm out with friends right now. I texted you, didn't I?" Oppa's voice rang though the phone, but I was angry at this point.

"No! You didn't text me anything since last week!"

"How can that be? I swear, I just texted you after school."

"I'm looking right now, but guess what? I can't find anything, like always."

"I'm checking right now. Wah! I texted mom, but not you. I guess I forgot..."

"Cha Hakyeon! Wouldn't it be easier to just talk to me at school!?" 

"(Y/N), are you mad right now? You've never called me by my full name before..." This kid...

"Of course! You haven't talked to me in weeks. Last week you texted me saying that you needed my copy of the keys to your house! I'm your best friend! What's wrong? You've been ignoring me for weeks and I'm tired of it. I think we need a break. That's what you've been trying to do, right? Is this what you want?" My voice grew silent and so did Hakyeon's too. He didn't say anything. It was just silent. "Fine. I officially declare us over. We needed this break. Hope you enjoy yourself."

"(Y/N)! Wait!" Before he could talk anymore, I hung up on him. It's over. For me and for him. It's better this way...

It's been 2 months since Hakyeon has even talked to me. It bothers me a lot, but I have to stay strong. He wanted this. This is what he deserved. I admit, I was different ever since our break from each other, but now I hang out with new groups of friends. My friends included JinJin, Sanha, Eunwoo, Rocky, Moonbin, and MJ. They were very fun to hang around because they had a new atmosphere that I haven't experienced before. They are very cheerful and it's rare to see them sad. They joke around a lot actually.

"Noona!" Sanha is here!

"Sanha! Did you eat yet? I brought snacks for you and the boys!" I smiled at Sanha and held the bag full of snacks up so he could see.

"Ah! Noona! Gomawo!" Sanha grabbed the bags from your hands and rushed towards the boys screaming with pure joy.

"Sanha! Quiet down! There are people here!"

"Neh!" Sanha nodded. Aegyo! He's so cute!

"Hey! Sanha! (Y/N)! Over here!" You turned around to see MJ and Rocky.

"Oppa! Oppa! How are you? I brought food, but Sanha took it." I pouted and put my hands into a TT position, referring to TWICE's song 'TT'.

"(Y/N)! Don't be sad!" MJ pouted and started to dance and sing to 'Cheer Up' by TWICE. Soon Rocky joined in as well and you saw Sanha run over to you and gently set down the snacks to join in.

"Aegyo!" I cried out.

And then baby CHEER UP" They cried out. It was utterly adorable.

"You guys are so cute!" I said and started to pinch their cheeks.  

"(Y/N)! Long time no see!" I turned around to see a very familiar face. It was Ken...

"Ah! Ken! I haven't seen you in a while. How are you?" I faked a smile and jogged over to him. Yes, I was great friends with Ken, but after the break from Hakyeon, we didn't see each other and it got awkward.

"I'm good, but I have to tell you something."

"Okay. Let me say bye to my friends first."

"Okay. I'll be waiting for you right here."

"Okay." I walked back to Rocky, MJ, and Sanha.

"(Y/N), who's that?" Sanha asked with a little jealousy in his voice.

"That's an old friend of mine that I haven't seen in a while. Maybe two months or so. Anyways, I have to talk to him for a bit, but enjoy the treats I bought you guys! I'll be back when I'm finished with my errands." I smiled at them. Despite their whines and disapproval of you going with Ken, I went anyways. I must be important because why would Ken talk to me after not seeing me for two months.

"You ready?"

"Yeah. What do you need to talk to me about?"

"Well first of all, N hyung has been horrible without you lately. He seems depressed. Please help him! I beg of you. He didn't want any of us bothering you too! What happened between you two?" Ken looked at me and he looked so confused.

"Didn't Hakyeon tell you? We took a break from each other."

"What!? How is that possible? Why?" 

"Well Hakyeon ignored me for weeks without end and he became distant from me. He was avoiding me. I asked him if he wanted to take a break from being friends and he didn't answer. I took it as a 'yes' and hung up. Then we never saw each other since."

"Neomuhae (Y/N)." 

"I'm not mean Ken. I was doing what was right."

"Fine, but I think your break has lasted long enough. Now come with me." And with that, Ken dragged me through the halls of the school into a classroom with Hakyeon's friends inside.

"Ken! What are you doing?"

"Hyung! I have someone you should meet!"

"Ken, I don't want to meet anyone right now."

"Cha Hakyeon. It's (Y/N)." Hakyeon quickly whipped his head around to face me, but something was wrong. He was crying.

"(Y/N)?" Hakyeon slowly mumbled out my name with a cracked voice.

"Yeah?"

"Is our break over yet? I've been waiting for a while now..." It was hard to see Hakyeon like this. This was my first time and everyone's first time seeing Hakyeon like this.

"Neh." I nodded and walked towards him with both of us went into a long hug. My head rested on his shoulders while he snuggled his head into my neck.

"I've missed you so much (Y/N)" Hakyeon whispered into my ear.

"I missed you too, Oppa..." It's been so long since I've called you that, right? Oppa... I could see everyone smile at me once I opened my eyes. Hakyeon still hasn't let me go.

"Oppa, let go please."

"No. I'm not letting you go again. Not after what happened last time. I love you (Y/N). I've always loved you. I have loved you since the beginning and that's why I started to distance myself from you. I didn't want to love my best friend because I was afraid. I was afraid that you would hate me afterwards and I couldn't stand the thought of that. Then I saw you with other boys after our break and I got jealous. I thought that I lost you forever. Until Ken came and brought you with. I love you (Y/N). I'll say it again if I have to. I'll say it to you everyday." Hakyeon let go of me and looked me in the eyes, waiting for a response. Honestly, I loved Hakyeon since the beginning as well.

"Saranghae Oppa." I looked into his eyes and pulled his face down to kiss it. I kissed him and he kissed back. I've never felt so happy in my life. Thank you oppa. I owe you. I owe Ken too.

"Saranghae (Y/N)."

I've worked hard on this one and I hope you like it. I finished it in about an hour or so and I'm really happy on how this turned out. Also, the boys that I have mentioned earlier in the story are part of a new kpop group called ASTRO. I suggest that you check them out because they are very good. They are filled with aegyo!
