Since I was going to hang out with Prince at rehearsal, I was just going to dress casual. I showered then grabbed a pair of ripped jeans and my favorite sweatshirt. I did natural makeup and put my hair in a loose ponytail. When I was slipping on my shoes and was about to grab my purse, there was a knock on the door. I quickly grabbed my bag and answered the door.

Hey babe you're here a few minutes early." I said giving Prince a kiss. "Yeah well I wanted to give you these" Prince said handing me a bouquet of red carnations.
"Thank you! You didn't have to get me flowers." I smiled as I went to go put them in a vase.
"I know but I wanted to. Now hurry up. I don't want to be late." Prince told me.
I grabbed my purse and headed out the door. The drive to the rehearsal space wasn't too bad at all. Once we arrived, I got to meet his band members who were super nice then I sat in a chair and watched them get to work. I danced and sang along as they played some of my favorite songs.
A few hours later rehearsal ended. Prince and I headed back to my apartment. I really wanted to ask him about the tour and if he was able to join Rayne and I on our trip to California. I was hoping that he would considering Lacey had asked me if he was coming with us when I talked to her a few days ago. When we headed inside, Prince sat on the couch as I went into the kitchen and made popcorn. When it was done I joined Prince and he put his arm around my shoulder.
"Did you have fun today?" He asked.
"I had a ball but there's a few things that I want to ask you." I replied facing him.
"Go for it."
"Well in a few weeks Rayne and I will be heading to California to visit my family and we won't be back until after New Years. Are you able to come? You know Lacey has been asking about you."
"I'm able to come but I have to come back the day after Christmas." Prince answered.
"Oh. Well at least you are able to come. That will get Lacey off of my back." I chuckled.
"Be nice Cass. She's only six." Prince said.
"Fine. Now my next question is about your tour. Can I trust you not to cheat on me? You have so many girls throwing themselves at you and I just don't want you to slip up." I questioned him.
"Of course you can. You have nothing to worry about. I have everything I want right here." He replied grabbing my hand.
"I'm trusting you. When do you leave for tour?" I asked.
"I leave a few days after New Years and I won't be back til the first week in March." Prince replied.
"Wait... so not only are you going to miss Valentine's Day but you're going to miss my birthday?!" I asked tearing up.
"Babe I'm really sorry. I know those days are important to you but I have to do this. I promise I will make it up to you when I get back." Prince hugged me.
