Chapter 7

                     Jack's POV (Not Edited)

    Did... did I just ask. If he was gay?

I sat on the ground. I didn't know why, but it just slipped out. He was surprised, but I would too if I was suddenly asked, "Are you gay?". I mean who would suddenly ask a gay, or straight person.

  "Hey, are you gay." All of a sudden. Honestly I'd be shocked as well.

Maybe it was a mistake to ask him such a stupid question, as I was about to open my mouth, to tell him sorry. He suddenly stood up. Was he about to leave? Was it too awkward for him? I was stupid to ask him wasn't I? Will he stop talking to me? I was so deep in thought, that I hadn't noticed Jeff walking up to me. Next thing I knew he was sitting in my lap. I blushed a bit, I kept repeating in my head 'Stay down stay down stay down'. I didn't want 'him' to suddenly say hello.

   I looked at Jeff, I didn't know what he was about to do. I was about to ask, what he was doing until, he grabbed my cheeks and kissed me.

I was surprised at first. I was so shocked, I  just looked at the trees, in the background for a bit, until I got out of my daze and decided to kiss back, I wasn't going to just leave him hanging. His lips were so soft, I didn't want to know how mines felt for him, probably not as smooth and soft as his. After a while he pulled away, he smiled and asked " Does that answer your question?". He was acting very sexual, or maybe brave.

   I was about to respond, until we heard rustling. We both quickly stood up, we didn't know what was out there. Not like we were afraid. Jeff pulled out his signature knife, I seriously need to know where he keeps that thing, because I sure didn't see it. Or felt it.

We stood our guard, until a little girl stumbled our way and fell. I mean she face planted the ground so hard, you could hear it.

We were dumbfounded, we didn't know who she was. I picked her up, she seemed scared. Like she was running away from something or someone. I was about to dissect the kid when, Jane and Toby, appeared out of nowhere, they were both panting heavily.

Two things crossed my mind. "What are you guys doing?", I asked raising an eyebrow. "W-we were trying t-to ca-catch the proxy" Toby answered, and pointed at the girl I was holding. I was shocked and looked at the girl and pointed at her, "Her!?!", Jane nodded. "Now can you hurry up and take her to the mansion" Jane said annoyed. I scoffed her and looked at Jeff. He only shrugged, "How do you know your not lying. How do we know this is the real thing?" I questioned. "Ch-check her wr-wrist" Toby responded once again. I did as told, and there it was. The marking of a proxy. There was a big X and a circle around it. It looked like it was burned into her, which usually happens. "Alright... She's the real thing" I mumbled.

"We told you" Jane spit out rudely. "No wonder Jeff didn't say date you" I mumbled. She suddenly turned her head to me quickly. Almost too fast, it could have broken her neck if she was human. "What did you just say, brat!?" She asked furious. "I don't need to tell you anything."

  I turned my head away and I put the child down, she kinda passed out so Jeff decided to grab her for the meantime. I knew things won't be pretty especially after I made her mad. "What . You brat" she growls and started for me. She punched me in the face. Hard, I love the rush. The punch was so hard it popped my neck out of place. I grabbed my head and put it back in place. You could hear a few cracks in the process.
