It's just another ordinary Wednesday at the Valdez household. Dennise woke up without her wife beside her. They've been married for almost twenty years already. It's so unAlyssa like to wake up this early.

"Morning, Mom."
"Morning, baby. Wala atang maingay."
"Maybe mama is cooking. I'm smelling bacoooon!" Fel exclaimed.

The two silently went down from the second floor of their two storey home. The house has this modern Filipino vibe outside. With all the woodwork and furniture that's either designed by Kenneth Cobonpue or they bought it when they travelling all around the nation with nothing in mind but to have a good time. Alyssa wanted to keep the Filipino exterior so Den let her be as long as she gets to have this sprawling garden and a wide backyard.

"Good morning, Ate."
"Good Morning, Fel. Morning, Mommy."
"Where's your Mom and your sisters?"

Alyssa wasn't in the kitchen either. Her two other daughters are also nowhere to be seen. Maybe that's why Mich is the one fighting with the spatula. Her little bitch of a wife didn't even left a note to where would she be. It's just past six in the morning, for Christ's sake!

"They went for a jog then I think they'll be playing ball with Tita Kim."

Dennise is definitely stabbing her wife with a fork. She knows that those two still have classes by eight thirty and still she insisted on dragging them out of the house to play. She was halfway into putting the scrambled egg that Mich tried so hard to prepare when the nuisances arrived with Kim in tow.

"Good morning, Mommy! Ate! Feeeeel!"

Bea then ran to her mother and kissed her on her cheek. Then hugged Felicia.

"Ew, Ate! You're dripping wet!"

She was about to give her eldest sister a hug too when Mich interrupted.

"Don't even think about it, B."

But since she's Bea she managed to get a quick kiss to her sister's cheek.

"Bea! You are disgusting!"

"Morning Den!"
"Morning Kim! Kumain ka na ba? Come, Mich cooked."
"Naaaah, just dropped by to give you the invitation for Ria's nineteenth."
"Asan si Vic at di niyo ata kasama?"
"Hinila nila Bang, Mela at Laura. Bibili raw nung mga kelangan para sa birthday ni Ria." Alyssa said while closing the main door. "Hey, Hon."

"Asan si Deanna?"

"I'm here, Mommy. Before you say anything, let me just say that this wasn't my idea."

"I know, sweetie more or less it's your Mom's idea or Bea's."

Then she shot Alyssa a glare.

"I need to go. Mela just called. Kianna's home, drunk. " Kim explained and stuffed two strips of bacon inside her mouth. "Bye guys! I'm going to kill Rex."

"Since you're going to kill their son, greet Ate Fille and Ate Gretch for me! "
"Will do! Bye Ly! Bey! Deanna!"
Her two kids made a little salute to Kim.

"Sit down you three and eat. You still have classes. Fel, can you wash the dishes baby? Yaya is still on vacation and she won't be back until tomorrow."

"Of course, Mommy."
"I'll help!" Deanna volunteered.

Dennise can't help but smile. Her twins are adorable as ever.

"Cool!  So can I go now? I'm finished naman na, Mommy."
"No. Stay. You still need to explain what the hell did you do to the men's football te lockers." Bea rolled her eyes at Mich.

"What did you do, Beatriz?" Alyssa finally spoke with full authority even Den was a bit rattled.

"That was one time, Mom. Those bastards keep on catcalling Fel!"
"What?"
"Catcalled?"
"What?"

Dennise looked at her family. Here we go again. She might have interfered but with her "boys" looking furious to what happened to their princess, she just kept her mouth shut. She can't do anything anyway. (Well, she can but those boys need a lesson.) She can see how Alyssa's expression changed. And how her three other daughters clenched their fists. Felicia is the youngest of the brood, though Deanna and her are twins, Dean came out first so technically she IS the youngest.

"Mich, call your Tito Miko. Tell him I need to talk to him." her wife ordered wherein Mich obliged. Michelle and inherited Alyssa's patience both have high tolerance levels. (e.g. when Bea kissed her earlier on the cheek) Deanna, is not as loud as Bea nor as silent as Mich. She's in the middle of the two just add Dennise's confidence and at times, pagkamataray. While Fel? She's Fel. Not Mich nor Bea nor Dean. She's her own person.

"I will let this pass for now, Bea. Now go to your room and prepare. Dean, go and help Felicia. Jovee should better be awake." she never saw this Alyssa for a long while now. The last time she saw Alyssa this pissed was when LA tweeted about her saying yes to him. She followed her wife to the Master's bedroom, Alyssa is pissed. REALLY pissed.

"Babe, calm down." as she held her wife's arm."
"How can I calm down when those assholes are disrespecting our daughter?"
"I know you're angry but you told Mich to call Miko na di ba? Just talk to those boys. And don't even try to call Jovee and the others.I bet I already know what you have in mind but don't."

She kissed Alyssa lightly on the lips. Dennise felt her calmed down a bit but not enough to convince her to bury the idea of revenge to the poor college kid that would soon feel the wrath of The Phenom. She knows that even if she managed to pull Alyssa reins in and make her sit down, her three older daughters will do something about this anyway.

"Mom, can we use the Panamera po instead of the Suburban? Ate Mich will drive us to school po. If that's okay with you."

She saw how Deanna and Alyssa grinned at each other when their eyes met. Her kids will be doing the first rule of scaring people,  intimidation. Alyssa grabbed the car keys from their bedside table and threw it at Dean.

"Where are your sisters? Aalis na ba kayo? Are you prepared?"

Deanna smirked again. "We've never been "read-ier". We're just waiting for Felicia then we'll go to Ateneo na. Ate Bea and Ate Mich are all ready to go. Tito Miko also said that you can meet him at lunch later, he'll just text you where po."

"Okay then. Tell your Ate Mich to drive safe. I need to shower." Alyssa replied. "Babe, I'll drive you to the hospital, okay? Madali lang ako. Pwede rin namang sabay tayo para mas mabilis."

"Shut up. Maligo ka na. Bilisan mo. The clinic opens at eight. Six forty five na."

"Bye Mommy! Bye Mom! Alis na po kami!" as Fel poked her head inside her parent's room.
"I called Tito Jovee and Tito Von na din po, Mom. They'll call you na lang daw po later to arrange some things." Bea butted in.
"Good news, Tita Vic's plane just went airborne kanina. Nauna na raw siya. Since may emergency raw kayo." Mich added

And of course, Dennise fully knows what the hell her kids are talking about. They're Alyssa's, more or less their brains are in sync when it's about family.

"Good. I'll see you later then." Alyssa shouted from the bathroom.
The four kissed Dennise good bye and went on their way.

The moment she heard their electronic gate close and the Panamera's engine barely audible, she mentally face palmed herself for letting Alyssa break her reins again. She might've retired from volleyball already. But the storm that the Phenom brings is just as strong,  if not stronger.
