I listened to the tapping outside the window of the bar. I wasn't in the mood for being out tonight. Today was the four year anniversary for me and Darren. We have been together for four years. This was the first time we haven't been together to share this day. Instead of being home like I wanted to do, Derrick and Jasper dragged me out of my bed. Now I was stuck with them and a bunch of men staring at me. All I wanted to do was sit at home and watching t.v.
Jasper sat down beside me and lend really close to me.
"There is a guy here. She suppose to be one of Luke's followers. Darrick thinks he knew who it is. So we plan to get him drunk and get him to talk." So that's what this was about?
"Does he knew my face. Shouldn't I be out of sight?" I would do anything just to be alone for a little while.
"No, he doesn't. Other wise this place would be crawling with more of Luke's men." I looked in the direction Jasper was looking in. The man was older then us. He had to be in his thirties at the most. We had to make sure we didn't make a sense. It was four vampires in there and the rest were human. Darrick sat next to the man. It looked like they were already working on the plan. I sat back in my set and tried not to draw attention to myself.
I couldn't take sitting down in the corner any longer. I walked outside for a breath of fresh air. Surprisingly vampire's don't like siting still in one place for too long. I opened the door and stepped put. As soon as I did I slipped on a patch of ice. I felt an arm catch me.
"Hey are you okay." I women's voice said.
"Yeah, just a little ice." She helped me to my feet.
"There sure is a lot of snow here." She said.
"I can see you aren't from around here." I told her. Long dark hair curled over her shoulders.
"No, I just moved here two days ago." She admitted.
"Well our winter's are pretty long. So get use to the snow." I stood up right. She was the same height as me. I watched as she looked at her phone.
"Damn it am going to be late for work." She closed up her jacket.
"Where do you work?"
"I work at the grill, I start there tonight."
"Bone Fish Grill?" That was only grill here in town.
"Yeah."
"I work there too. Am actually off the clock tonight." She smiled.
"While looks like we are going to be working together." She started walking down the side walk. "I better get go before am late." She took of running. I stood standing in the cold air watching her go.
"There you are!" I turned to see Darrick. "Lets go we got all the information we need." Darrick pulled my arm as Jasper followed behind. The walk home was long and quiet. Darrick slammed the door shut.
"What's going on, what did that guy say?" I asked.
"Luke is planing to use Darren's body as his own."
"WHAT!" Jasper turned and punched a whole in the wall.
"He's weak from before. Some how you took his power and strength from him. He needs a new body to host and Darren is even stronger." My heart was beating fast in anger.
"Then we should go after him. We should go save him" I said.
"Your not strong enough and we aren't ready to take him on." Jasper said.
"We can't do nothing. Darren will be gone by the time we are." Darren's body will be Luke's
"We have time. You can't take another body till the red moon." Darrick added.
"How long will that be?"
"We have a little less then five months." That means in April. We had to be ready by April. There was so much I need to learn. So much that we need to get ready for.
