Two police cars pass us in a hurry, must be some crime going on. I could see the school from here. "There it is." I say, and start running. If she really, truly is here, my life will be so much better with her there. We approach the playground and nobody is there. "Rae?!" I cry out. No answer. "Jace?!" I take a shaggy breath. "Heiland?" A small black wolf comes running over. "Oh my God." Her size is so different than before. She has an orange collar on and a black leash was dragging behind her. "Heiland, where are they, girl?" Heiland looks down and I grab the leash, she starts tugging on the leash hard and takes me the same way I came in from. "Zaan, what if she can't find them?" I take a deep breath and look to Edith. "Then we keep searching, and we won't stop searching until Rae is here, standing next to me."
