Chapter 10

Bruce was taking me out on a date and he told me to wear something nice so I put on a cream dress that was long and had short sleeves. Bruce walked me to a fancy restaurant. It was beautiful. We sit down at a table.

"I should stop ordering steak. It's all I get in restaurants like this" I said handing the menu to the waiter

"But you do like steak" Bruce said as he was handing his menu to the waiter

"I know next time I'm ordering something else" I said

Bruce laughed as I laughed too. After awhile our meals came.

"So how do you know Clark" Bruce asked

"My first break with mistah J was really bad but not as bad as the second break when I was with you" I said

"Well I didn't know" Bruce said

"I wanted to tell you but him being Superman and him kind of being a threat to the human race" I said taking a sip of my wine

"Well I'm glad your making a lot of friends" Bruce said as he takes a bit of his steak

I smiled. After we finished dinner we had cheesecake. But before I started to eat mine there was a ring on top of it.

"Bruce what's this" I asked with a confused look on my face

Bruce got up and took the ring off of the cheesecake then got down on one knee. I started tearing up

"Ever since the first day I met you as a criminal I knew that you knew it was wrong but you wanted to make the joker happy. You thought he cared about you but he treated you like a pawn and not a queen. I didn't fall in love with you because of your criminal acts I fell in love with you because you knew that it was wrong and that you could change. You became a strong, beautiful and amazing person that I would do anything for. So Harley Quinn, will you marry me?" He asked hold the ring

I broke down in tears "yes I would love to marry you" I said

He put the ring on my finger and kissed me and I kissed back. We broke the kiss as he sat back down in his chair.

"I love it Bruce" I said looking at the ring

"I knew you would" he said smiling

"Is this what you didn't want me to see and why you asked about where I put the package" I said

"Yes I was nervous that you would find it" he said

"Well I'm glad I didn't" I said looking at him

After we finished eating our cheesecake which was really good. We left and headed home. Alfred congratulated us. All we had to do was to plan a wedding which I didn't want to start this week but maybe next week. Alfred handed me an envelope.

"Is this the DNA test" I asked looking at it

"Yes it is" he said

I open up the envelope and looked at the paper to see that Bruce is the father to my child.

"YAY!!!" I screamed

"I'm guessing the results turned out alright" Alfred said with a smile

"Yes I have to go and tell him" I said and ran off to the bat cave. "BRUCE" I yelled

Bruce turned around in his chair but I didn't stop running which I ran into Bruce making the chair fall back hitting the ground. I was on top of Bruce and I felt embarrassed plus I started to blush.

"Harley what is it?" Bruce asked as he puts his hands on my hips

"It's the DNA test. It finally came" I said still blushing

He took the paper from me and looked at it. "So I am her father" he said as a smile formed on his face. I smiled as well and kissed him on the lips. He kissed back. I broke the kiss and looked at him.

"Where are we going to have the wedding" I asked

"Maybe the back yard" he said

I smiled "I guess we could have it there but when are we going to announce about our engagement" I asked

I looked over to a glasses case that had robin's suit in it. I remember killing robin. Him begging me and the joker to stop but we didn't. I wanted to stop so bad but if I did me and robin would both be dead. I started tearing up

"Harley it wasn't your fault" Bruce said as he caresses my cheek

"Yes it was. I didn't save him. I was so worried about myself that I didn't save him" I cried more and more.

Bruce hugged me tightly as I cried into his shoulder. I stopped crying after awhile.

"You were still confused Harley" he said gently rubbing my back

"I know but I still should of saved him" I said still hugging him

"I wish it was me instead" Bruce said

"But now we won't have the life we have right now" I said

"I know but I still would of escaped and we would have this life still" he said and looked at me

I smiled "yeah your right" I said and kissed him on the nose. We both got up from the floor and Bruce put the chair back on it's four legs.

"We should go to bed we have work tomorrow" Bruce said as he turns off the computer

"Ugh but I don't want to go to work" I said and sit down in a chair

"Well I'm sorry but you have to" Bruce says as he picks me up from the chair

"I'm gonna have to talk to my boss about this" I said crossing my arms

"Really what do you want to talk about" he says raising an eyebrow

"I want more days off" I said

Bruce laughs "sorry I can't do that"

"Awwww please" I said

"No I'm sorry" he said

"Ok fine" I said

We went to bed hopping everyone will accept that we're getting married.
