Chapter 23

:::::::::::: Harley's POV ::::::::::::

Selena drove me to the hospital and took me into a room with a whole bunch of doctors and nurses. She laid me on the bed as she grabbed my cell phone and ran out the room to start calling people.

~ flashback ~

I was at Ivy's place trying to get some sleep while Lily was getting some sleep. I laid on the couch and turned on the tv then my eyes started to get heavy and then it went dark. I curled up and hugged the pillow as I took my nap with a smile on my face.

~ later on ~

I wake up to a cry from a baby girl who's lonely. I sighed and get up from the couch. No body told me it was going to be difficult to take care of a child.

"I'm coming baby" I said as I walk down the hall to go to my room as I was about to open my door. The crying stopped. I then got worried and opened the door carefully enough to see a huge figure with a black cape on his back and next to him was another figure wearing a yellow cape. I opened the door more and smiled.

"Hey b-man and birdbrain" I said as I leaned against the door way

Batman turned around and so did Robin. Robin waved as I waved back to him. I looked at Batman to see that he's holding Lily.

"I saw that you were taking a nap and it looks like you haven't gotten any sleep either so I thought that Robin and I could when Ivy is gone and you need sleep" Batman said as he Rock back and forth with Lily

I smiled at the scene. It's funny to see Batman trying to be a father figure to her. "That's fine. Just as long as she doesn't go down the wrong path" I said and watch them

Lily then smiled at Batman as Batman smiled back at her while he played with her little hands.

"It's cute that your trying to be a dad Batman" Robin said snickering as well

"You tell anyone about this and I'll hurt you Robin" Bats said as he sat down in the rocking chair "that goes for you to ms Quinn" he added

I snickered and then nodded. Who knew that Batman has a bit of a father figure in him.

~ end of flash back ~

I screamed in pain again and held my stomach.

" alright Mrs Wayne i want you to try and change in this gown" the nurse said

I grab the hospital gown and go to the bathroom to change with Selena help because I couldn't get my pants off and underwear. I still wasn't close so they had me bounce on a ball.

"You look silly" Ivy said as she giggled

"Diana could you hand me that stuffed animal" I asked and pointed to it

Diana handed me the stuffed animal and I threw it at Ivy. I giggled but I then yelped in pain.

"Somebody get the doctor cause I think he's coming now" I said as I held onto Diana's arm

Selen ran out and called for a doctor. The doctor came in and helped me to the bed.

"Alright your ready. I need you to push for me Mrs Wayne" he said as Diana held my left leg up and Ivy held my right leg and Selena held my left hand

"I can't not with out Bruce" I said squeezing Selena's hand

"You have to......." Diana was interrupted by Bruce

"I'm here I'm here" he said and ran over to my right side holding my right hand and caressing my cheek

"Ok I'm ready" I said while looking at Bruce

~ few moments later ~

I smiled as I held my beautiful baby boy. Bruce was looking at him and kissed the top of my sweaty head.

"What are you going to name him" Selena asked

I looked at Bruce then back at the baby "Damian. Damian Jason Wayne" I said

Bruce smiled when I said Jason

"I like it" Diana says

Ivy frowned and walked out of the room. Bruce saw her leave then looked at me "I'll be right back" he said and went to go talk to Ivy

"IVY!!!!!!!" I yelled as I ran after her

She stopped and turned to face me "what Bruce" she said

"What's wrong" I asked with a bit of concern in my voice

"It's just that......." she looked around and then back at me "somebody is trying to bring people back to life and Jason Todd is one of them" she said

"What. Why" I asked

"I don't know but I'm just worried he's gonna come back and be on the wrong path" Ivy said as she looked down

"But we can try to make him good can't we" I asked wiping her tears away

"I don't know I just don't want to lose the man I love again" she said as she broke down crying

I hugged her and held her close. "We'll try Ivy. Don't worry" i said and rubbed her back

"But what about Harley. She told me about Jason. How he was like a son to her before she went crazy and after." She said as she wipe her tears

"We have to tell her no matter what but me and her have a team to build so we can defeat a war that's coming as well" I said

"So should we tell........" Ivy was interrupted by gun shots coming from downstairs "must be the joker you need to go and get suited up Batman" she said and ran off "I'll keep him busy. Tell the others" and with that she disappeared around the corner

I ran to Harley's room and told Selena to go down there and help Ivy then told Diana to stay here with Harley and Damian.

"Bruce please be careful" Harley said as she held my hand

"I will I promise" I said smiling as I kissed her hand

She smiled "my hero" and kissed me as I kissed back but I heard more gun shots

I pulled away from her and left to get suited up.

I sat there and watch Bruce leave as I held my baby boy Damian close to my chest.

"Harley he'll be fine" Diana said and sat down at the end of the bed by my feet

"I hope so" I said and looked at Damian

She looked at me confused "Harley I have a question" she asked

"What is it" i said and looked at her

"How did you get the baby inside you without building it with clay" she asked

I turned bright red. I forgot that Diana was made from clay and brought to life by a god.
