You were walking your puppy Sam to the park. To get to the park you have to walk through a forest and the forest is always dark even if its morning. Sam is afraid of the dark so you always have to take a torch with you or even a lantern but the lantern wasn't as bright as the torch. Today was a little windy and the sun was burning the earths crust. It was a really hot day and You always take Sam to the park in every weather as Sam loved walks and loved to run around.

While you were walking Sam through the forest your torch batteries died and the heat from the sun had faded. It was turning cold and the path in front had turned completely dark. You could still see the path but Sam didn't like it at all he kept pulling the lead trying to get away when the lead snapped and Sam ran into the darkness. You ran behind trying to catch up but he was too fast. Your heart started pounding and you were running faster when you ran into someone.

"Oh god Im so sorry. Are you okay?" You asked, helping the stranger up.

"Im okay but what about you? What were you running from?" He asked, brushing himself off.

"Ive lost my dog, hes scared of the dark and I need to find him. He might be hurt." You explained.

"I can help you." He said. "Im Liam. You?"

"Im Y/N"

You and Liam walked down the path and kept calling for Sam. The forest came to an end and the park came into sight. You and Liam walked around the park but there was still no sight of Sam. You sighed and sat on the bench you always sat on. Liam sat beside you and rubbed your shoulders.

"Oh sorry." Liam blushed, moving his hand.

"No its fine. I just can't and won't believe my baby boy has went and got himself lost. He never runs away on his own he always stays with me." You sighed and placed your head into your hands.

Liam grabbed your hand and took you to the swings. When there was a bark from behind the bush by the slide. You ran to the bush and there was Sam.

"Sam! Don't run away from me again. You had me worried sick." You told Sam who was wagging his tail and barking.

You grabbed the broken lead and just stared at the dog.

"I need a way to get this little bugger home and I can't use this lead as it's broken." You groaned.

"I'll help take him home, I have a working torch in my bag." Liam smiled.

You and Liam started walking back with Sam in Liams arms. You grabbed your keys and you made your way to the front door.

"Thanks so much Liam. Would you like to stay for a drink?" You asked.
"No I have to get back to my dog. See you around some time." Liam kissed your cheek and left.

Three months later you and Liam started dating and Sam became good friends with Liam and he was never afraid of the dark again.
