HINATA P.O.V;
"Great job on beating Shiratizowa! Next stop is nationals!" Coach Ukai said, "So for celebration we're going to an amusement park. We're going tomorrow at 10:00am. Make sure you bring at least $10. You might want to get something to eat or a souveirneir or something."
There was a lot of "YOSH!, AWESOME, YEAAH." Including me. I just so happendly turned my head and saw Yachi acting nervous as usual. Its adorable. WAIT WHAT. Why did I just think that? I shooked my head to get the thought of my head.
"Well we couldn't have won if it wasn't for Hinata and Kageyama with the weirdo quick." Daichi said.
"YEAH! I WAS LIKE 'SWOOSH' AND THE BALL WENT 'SWISH' AND THEN IT WENT LIKE 'BAM.'" I exclaimed
"Talk normally dumbass. We can't understand you." Bakayama said.
"You seriously need to work on your insults" Tsukki snickered
"Who cares what they say Hinata. I understand what you said. OH! REMEMBER USHIJIMA HIT THE BALL AND IT WENT 'WOSH' AND I WAS LIKE 'BLAM.'" Nishinoya exclaimed.
"YOSH THAT WAS AWESOME." I replied back.
"Can you guys shut up?" Kageyama said. It was more of a demand than a question.
Nishinoya and I just grind our teeth together and glared at the black haired boy.
"Guys." Coach Ukai interupted us, "We're going to divide the team in half when we go to the amusement park so we can get on more rides and stuff. I'm going to pick your teams."
Tsukkishima, Yamaguchi, um Yachi, Kageyama, Nishinoya, I'm probably going to regret this but Tanaka-"
"Nishinoya and Tanaka together is just a disaster waiting to happen" Sagawara whispered to Asahi.
"And lastly Hinata." Coach Ukai finished. "The people I didn't call are on the other team.
"HOLD ON! SO DOES THIS MEANS WE WON'T BE WITH KIYOKO?" Tanaka and Nishinoya said in unison.
"It's probably for the best." Asahi whispered back to Sugawara.
Nishinoya and Tanaka sulked in a corner growing mushrooms. (I hope atleast one person got this reference).
"It's getting late so why don't all of you go home. You need all your rest for the fun we're going to have." Take-sensei said.
Soon after that everyone started getting their things and head home. I was going to ask Kageyama to throw some tosses for me but I was actually tired. Everyone left already. I thought I was the only one left in the gym. Then BAM! I heard footsteps behind. It was to revealed it was only Yachi.
"Hey Yachi do you want me to walk you to the bus stop?"
"U-uh s-sure thank you" She said while being nervous which made her blush. Cute I thought. No! Not again. Why do I keep thinking that. BAD HINATA! BAD.
"Alright then let's get going." I grinned
"Y-yeah"
We began walking out onto the sidewalk. It was pretty awkward so I wanted to strike up a conversation.
"So Yachi how are you liking the whole manager thing?"
"It's nice. I get to meet new people. I get to learn about volleyball. And I get to have a hobby. It helps me become organized to so yea." She said very quickly but I understood what she said.
"We're glad to have you as our manager. Thanks." I said with a big toothy smile.
"You don't need to thank me. I should be the one thanking you."
"For what?"I asked. It sounded a tad bit mean the way it came out of my mouth.
"W-well I gained more friends and...uhh learnt the basics of volleyball and umm. I don't know."
"Wow that's a lot of reasons" I said while trying to think of a brand new subject.
"Hey Yachi. Remember when you tutored me and Kageyama?"
"Y-yea I remember."
"Well I got a 70 and Kageyama got a 68. Those are the highest grade we ever gotten!" I don't think that's something I should be proud of.
"I'm glad my teaching helped you. Because what if you failed? You would been forced to re-do this year. Then you wouldn't be able to play volleyball. Then you would be depressed and not go to school. And if you don't go to school then you wouldn't get a good job and end up being a homeless man." Yachi rushed again with her words.
"I never thought about that. I'm going to try to make better grades so I won't end up being a homeless man. So can you be my tutor until I make a grade higher than a 90? Well Kageyama's too." The last part was a bit of a whisper.
Yachi looked shocked. Was it something I said?
"I-i'm fine with that. I hope I'll of help still."
"Don't worry you will." WE turned the last corner. "Yachi isn't that you bus stop over there?"
"We're here already?" She whispered. I think she didn't mean for me to hear but oh well.
"So see you tomorrow at the amusement park?"
"Y-yea" She nodded really fast.
"Alright. Let's have fun at the amusement park. Bye Yachi-san. "
"Bye Hinata-kun."
On the way home I stopped by a convince store. I got green tea and a donut. By the time I got home they were gone.
I tried to tip-toe but I was caught by little sister.
"Where were big brother?"
"U-um out."
"With who onii-chan?"
"A friend" I began to sweat hoping she would by my lie. Because if she doesn't she will tell mom and I would never hear the end of this.
"You mean that girl I saw you with?"
I had to think of something quick and make up something.
"Yea. We were just...umm...studying."
"Sure whatever you say. Goodnight big brother."
"And nastu please don't tell mom this."
"OK. Goodnight."
Woo. I got away with it. I climbed the stairs and got undress to take a shower. But it was quick. I was to tired to brush my teeth and stuff. I fell on my bed and went straight to sleep with the thought of Yachi and volleyball on my mind.
