Hot, loud and gloomy...
That was the only way you could describe the underworld if you've even been there.
Law never really liked being there whatsoever or ruling the place all together, but...it was his duty, his responsibility, his job, this place was what he grew up knowing.
He didn't really have a choice.
Sometimes he would wonder what his siblings were like, and often found himself envious of them, he knew they probably had their own territories to stay stuck in but at least they were allowed to see each other with permission, but since none of them knew about him no one ever gave him permission to go see him, or vice versa.
Sure once in a while an interesting soul would pass through and catch the god's attention, but it wasn't long before they revealed themselves to how shallow and boring they really were, and he'd be stuck back into the beginning all over again.
Nothing could make ruling this hellhole any fun.
That's when he started leaving the place without a word and going on adventures in the polar ice caps with the local wildlife, he was well aware that it was awfully close to one of his brother's territory, but because he didn't know what he was like, he didn't want to risk getting killed if that brother didn't like intruders.
So he just stuck with his icy friends, his first friend was Bepo, a minotaur polar bear who had a superiority complex, Law would never admit it but that was one of the many silly qualities he loved about the other.
Along the way they would gather many more friends, but Law always had to return to the underworld eventually and spend his days in the blistering heat to watch over the hordes of wailing souls, counting them, organizing them, ruling them.
Nothing ever changed, until one fateful day...

Flashback to fourty years ago~
Law sighed as he waved goodbye to his group of at least twenty friends of snowy animals, although he was quite popular in the artic and underworld alike, he could never shake off that feeling of loneliness and longing.
He just need someone...more like him.
But chances of that was like a snowman in summer, not only did no living souls ever visit the underworld in fear of losing their lives to him, but most of the other great gods didn't even know he existed, the ones that did just thought he was a myth, a fairytale, just a scary story.
He never left the cool and relaxing artic since he greatly disliked the heat, and since he was the only god who enjoyed the cold, none of his other siblings ever visited, so meeting someone...just wasn't in the stars for him.
Born to forever be alone...
'What a cruel fate' he would always think, being alone was way worse than being hurt...or even dead.
Law finally made it to the half frozen gates to the underworld and walked up to the enchanted wooden doors, "I'm back" he boredly called.
The gates immediately creaked opened at his call as he slowly waltzed in like he owned the place, which he did.
Law sighed as he was warmly greeted by his pet cerberus, the main middle head was named Corazon, the left was named Doflamingo and the right was Vergo.
