Chapter 3 - Rain

Natsu thought i'd be nice to get some sun.

"I thought it was Sunny?!" I shouted as rain pour down on me

"Im sorry! It was blue skies when i came over to your apartment!" he shouted back.

We ran through the rain hoping to find some cover, shielding my head from the rain as my sleeves started to get really wet. Feeling something warm over my head Natsu had placed his jacked over me.

"Wha-?"My cheeks started feelin hot " You idiot, your gonna get sick!"

"I'll be fine! Plus It wouldnt be very Gentlemanly of me to have a women be in the rain, im sorry this is my fault"

"Is Gentlemanly even a word?"

"Yes it is!" he laughed.

Oh man, now i feel kind of bad. the rain started coming down softly. Soon it turned into showers. I moved the jacket to look up at him, He was wearing a black tank with the message "Fairytail" across it, Isnt it spelled 'Fairy Tale?' with some denim jeans and black boots. His hair was wet, covering his head and Almost his face. The droplets started trickling down his biceps. Oh god..i started looking around his abdomen. Lucy no!

"Like something you see?" I looked up at him grinning.

"Wha-I-I mean-No-No!" i walked faster feeling my cheeks burn.

"Lucy!" Natsu shouted out. I was to embarassed to look back.

"Lucy Wait! Do you even know where you going?!" I immediately stopped in my tracks and looked around, Oh sh- Then a wave of water splashed on me as a car sped by, i gasp while i was totally soaked.

"Well...shit" I looked around. I have no idea where im at. Was the rain and fog really that thick? Natsu grabbed my hand, guiding me down a road.

"where are we going?"

"To my place. It's closer." he said.

It must have been at least 25 mins of us walking, i was shivering badly, i started hearing my teeth chatter. We soon found ourselves more downtown of Magnolia, walking up to what looked like a complex and headed inside. Entering through a sliding door the warmth of the air hit us. To the left was a long Desk with a few people behind it, in the middle of the room were couches with small tables and lamps. Behind the farthest couch was a huge window, with windowed doors leading out to a pool. The right wall had three elevators.

"Good afternoon Mr Dragneel" A woman said. Natsu just smiled and nodded at her. We went inside an elevator, pressing a button that lead it the to the top floor. After a few moments had pass we exited the elevator.

"This place is huge.."

"Yeah, Its the Penthouse" Penthouse?!

Natsu lead me to a bedroom.

"Wait here real quick" I nodded as he left. Still shivering i walked to the window, looking down and gasping at the view.

"..Wow.." For miles and miles, were tree's and mountains. I even saw a river! Hearing a voice coming from the hall i crept closer to the door.

"-I couldnt just have left her in the rain!"

"-No but-"

"-Yes, I know. I havent said anything!"

"-Look-"

It sounded like natsu was on the phone

"-Im Old enough to make my Own decisions Ok?! I didnt leave the palace for nothing, i left because of you!"

"-I dont care if She's Human!" Wait..ive heard that somewhere before..

Then it went quiet. Hearing foot steps i ran to the bed and sat down. Natsu Came in with clothes in his arm.

"Sorry, Here. " Natsu handed me folded clothes.

"Sorry if they wont fit..Just put your wet clothes near the bathroom door and wear these for now. Theres towels and necessities in there if you need them." And with that he left. I walked over to the bathroom, removed my wet clothes, turn on the bath and hopped in. I thought about what has happened from yesterday to today.

Maybe im a little harsh on him..am i? Maybe just a little. He's totally harmless Come on lucy. He's not like, you know who. I sighed. What did he mean earlier by "I dont care if shes human?" Who was he talking to? Natsu is kind enough to bring me here and provided some clothes. Thats hospitality which i never think he'd have. Seeing his first impression last night totally blew whatever things i thought about him. But Maybe he's making this up for last night. I giggled to myself. Ahh i guess we shall see. I closed my eyes hearing the rain hit against the window.

I woke up to someone stroking my head. huh..?

"Hey sweetie" She said with a smile

"Mom..?" i looked at her

"You were having a nightmare" tears started falling as i sit up to hug her

"Mom! I missed you so much!" i said crying into her shoulder.

"Im not going anywhere baby" Hearing her soothing voice reassured me. I looked around.

"Am i dreaming?" She smiled and nodded. "Mom..i miss you so much" i looked at her face, seeing every freckle, every dimple she had.

"Lucy, my sweet lucy" She cooed holding my head. "You need to becareful, Danger lies ahead. If you choose the wrong choices, only death will be in your future" I looked up at her.

"What..?" Everything around me started spinning, it got really windy

"-cy"

"lu-" What..?

"Lucy" I slow opened my eyes, seeing natsu.

"Huh?" Natsu was fanning something...was he fanning me? I felt a breeze

"What do you think your doing?!" he said in a harsh tone

"What am i doing?" i choked out "where am i?" then i realized i was last in the bath tub. My eyes shot wide open, my head was on natsu lap

"You put the water to hot and you blacked out. I pulled you out to cool you off" My face felt hot

"did..you..?"

"No i didnt i swear. I closed my eyes while pulling you out then wrapped you in a towel." He continued to fan me.

"You really worried me lucy, dont ever do that again" Again?

It turns out i was in the bathroom for two hours. the rain was gone and the sun was close to setting. I was already dressed in Natsu's basketball shorts and a sweater.

"Aachoo!" i sneezed.

"Uh-oh i think someone is getting a sick"

"No im not. I cant be sick!" Hearing a ding natsu left to another room. I got up looking out the living rooms window. Wow..I can see the wet streets and buildings.

"Sorry, here your clothes are done." he tossed them to me. i left to the previous room i was in to dress into my denim jeans and t shirt. i put natsu's sweater back over me. what? i like it. Its soft..dont judge. Lucy who are you talking to? The readers duh! Stop talking to yourself its weird.

I yawned and laid down onto the bed, looking through my phone. My eyes started closing slowly.
