"I know what you mean- I feel the same way. Let's just go away together, just the two of us. We can leave a note. I want to be with you forever," I replied, taking his hand.

"You've seen that movie too!?" Allen exclaimed, grinning at me. I laughed and nodded; I loved the movie we had just quoted, even if we had to change a few words.

A/N: I don't want Allen and Ronnie together like that, I just didn't have anything to put at the end of that chapter... Besides, it made real-life Lily REALLY mad, and that's always funny. :D

"So, I'm guessing you're feeling better?" I asked, releasing his hand to tuck a few stray strands of hair behind my ear. He nodded, sitting up some before replying, "Yeah, physically I'm fine. I'm still shocked and I can't believe that happened- with Beth in the car. If I could have traded it for anyone else, I would've. She's the last person who belonged in that seat, getting hurt like that."

"Oh, I see how it is, Allen," I said, faking hurt and anger. I could tell by the remaining light in his green eyes he caught on to the fact that I was fine.

"I'm sorry, Ronnie-Ann, but you've been replaced," Allen fake-apologized. I turned my face away dramatically, allowing my hair to swing in front of it.

"Oh, the pain. It's so horrible. No one loves me. I'm depressed," I moaned, before shaking my hair out of my eyes- the urge was too strong; I just couldn't take having my hair all down in my face.

"Don't go all emo-poser on me," Allen pleaded, desperation mingling with warning in his tone. I laughed and shook my head a little before replying, "I would never. Fake little emo kids just... Aren't who I aspire to be. I can do better."

"That you can, Ronnie," Allen assured me. I smiled and leaned down, giving him a hug as the door opened behind us.

"Can I join in the love fest?" Alex asked, walking over with Andy behind him. We were all still dressed nicely- I'd forgotten until I looked up to see Alex bend over to hug Allen as well.

"So, listen- Beth has to stay overnight and I'm not leaving without her, seeing as I'm the reason she's in here," Allen informed us. Alex shrugged and Andy nodded from where he hovered in the back.

"Sounds good. Call us when you two are on your way back," Andy replied, walking over and sitting on the end of the cot-like hospital bed.

"How did I ever sleep on one of these?" I wondered aloud, looking down at the cot. The three of them chuckled a little at me, Allen's green eyes gleaming and Alex's blue eyes appearing deeper and bluer.

"How DID you manage that, Ronnie? These things are uncomfortable," Andy agreed, pushing down on the small layer of thin, shifting cushion.

"I have no idea," I replied, as a buzz sounded from my pocket, echoing across the room. I pulled out my phone- Mimaw. I answered it quickly and stepped out of the room, leaning against the wall of the hallway.

"Ronnie-Ann, I haven't gotten to talk to you much lately but I know you love animals, and I need your help with something," Mimaw's desperation was obvious in her voice, even through the phone. Worry pierced through me.

"What is it?" I asked, tapping on the wall behind me with my nail nervously.

"You remember that dog we found when you came to visit, when you were nine?" Mimaw asked, trying to jog my memory. I nodded and then, feeling like an idiot, said yes.
