Girl Meets Popular

Maya and Lucas were drinking coffee at her apartment cuddling before school.
Maya got a text.
Maya:"Its from riley. She says she doesn't need us to pick her up this morning."
Lucas:"That's strange is she sick?"
Maya:"I don't think so. She almost seems mad at me in the text."
Lucas:"Well...don't worry about it. in sure its nothing."
Maya:"Yeah you're probably right."
Lucas:"im always right."
Maya:"I don't know about that."
Maya got on her tip toes and ruffled lucas' hair.
Lucas picked Maya up and put her in the passenger seat of his truck.
Maya(whining):"why can't you drive a car??"
Lucas:"Because a truck is more manly and I find it very adorable that you're so short that I have to pick you up and put you in the seat."
Maya:"I hate being short."
Lucas:"Don't hate it because I think its very cute."
Maya:"I don't its annoying. I feel like I should be on Little People Big World."
Lucas:"Don't hate your height. Like I said earlier...its cute and you have a beautiful face and many other great qualities. So don't worry about being short."
Maya:"Sappy much?"
Maya wrinkled her nose.
Lucas starts laughing.
Maya:"Why was that funny?"
Lucas:"Its cute when you wrinkle your nose."
Maya:"Okay enough with the sap. Were already here. The gates of Hell."
Lucas:"As much as I agree with you don't let school bum you out."
Lucas put his arm around maya. She lay her head on his shoulder.
They saw riley hanging out with missy. They were very shocked.
Maya:"Why is she hanging out with Missy."
Lucas:"What if there bullying her?"
Maya starts to run over to missy and her possy but Lucas picks her up.
Lucas:"Ill go over there with you so you don't kill anyone."
Maya:"Ok Huckleberry."
Maya and Lucas walk over to missy and her crew.
Maya:"Riley...are they bullying you?"
Riley:"No slut. They don't bully their crew."
Maya:"Since when are you apart of their crew?!"
Lucas put his arm around maya and stroked her arm. She immediately relaxed like she was In a trance.
Riley:"since I realized there were better things to do than hang out with you. Now if you will excuse me I'm going to make your life miserable."
Riley and missy walked off.
Lucas wrapped his arms around Maya tightly. She returned the gesture. He played with her hair because she loved it when he did.
Cory:"As much as I love to see what a cute couple you are you are gonna be late for history."
Maya and Lucas walk to class together Still hugging and Cory notices that something is wrong.
They walk in the classroom and Maya sits on Lucas lap.
Cory:"Maya you need to sit in your own seat."
Maya:"It's your daughters fault."
Cory teaches a lesson.
Maya and Lucas walk to lunch.
As soon as Maya walks in riley splashes potatoes on Mayas dress.
Maya runs out humiliated.
Lucas chases after her.
He finds her sitting on a bench sobbing.
Lucas:"I keep an extra pair of clothes in my truck so lets get you cleaned up and go talk to Mr Matthews."
Maya nodded her head yes.
They go to his truck and get Lucas's clothes.
Maya takes them and goes to the girls bathroom to change.
Lucas was waiting outside the door for her.
She comes out wearing his oversized t shirt and sweatpants with the tie on them very tight.
Lucas finds it adorable but he feels really bad for her and his blood is boiling.
Lucas:"You okay babe?"
Maya unconvincingly nods her head yes.
Lucas engulfs her in a big hug and she sobs into his chest.
Cory comes out into the hall and sees them.
Cory:"maya, what's wrong?"
Maya(sobbing):"riley hates me and she hanging out with missy."
Cory:"As in Missy Bradford?!"
Lucas:"Yeah and Riley called Maya a slut and told her she would make her life miserable."
Lucas and Maya hugged each other tighter.
Riley came over looking guilty.
Riley:"Did I make Maya that sad?"
Lucas(angry):"Yeah you did."
Riley:"Listen maya...I am so sorry . Will you please be my friend again?"
Maya:"Yeah riles."
They hug each other for a long time.
