As I made my way out of Carmai's cave I could see him walking on a path that only I ever used. It was the path we used for the best hunting spot in the while forest. That's why we're constantly tormented by Blackies but since we found the land first, it's ours until the end of time or at least if there is a war and the Blackies win.
"Hey! Carmai! Why are you going to the field?"
"Since you aren't going to be here I figured I better practice my hunting skills..."
"Oh..." Well this wasn't exactly making me feel happy about not letting him come but I had to go alone.
"That's an even better reason for you not coming with me. No one here knows how to hunt as well as we do. No offense to them."
"Yes but I could teach them, Dawn!"
"I'm sorry but you can't come..."
"Why? You need someone to protect you out there! Let me come with you, please!"
"Well... I-"
"Really?! Ok meet me here at dawn. I will teach someone how to hunt tonight."
"Wait! You can't-"
He had already walked away. Tomorrow I will have to explain that he can't come...
For now I need my sleep.
And of course I was woken up by Jamin who was basically screaming in my ear.
"Dawn! Wake up!!! It's Carmai! He's hurt! He got stomped on by a moose!
You have to help him!!!"
"Okay! Okay! I hear you stop screaming I'm up! Where is he?"
"He's still with the moose."
"What?!"
