Chapter two

For will it was a slow day so he could catch up on his paperwork. It has been nearly a year since he first got the job at med, since he first saw Natalie. She had lost her husband to war which reminded him of Jay at first. Will's thinking got cut off by screaming. It was a low, raspy voice. Wait he knew that voice, Erin.

Will couldn't run any quicker if he tried. If Erin was here his brother must be too. That was when he saw him.

Jay was still and unresponsive. His blue eyes were shut and sweat covered his whole face. If Will didn't know better he would of thought that his brother was dead. Will could not get his legs to move and just stood there watching his colleagues work on his brother. That was when he finally spotted Erin by herself looking as if she was going to collapse.

"Erin!"
"Oh Will, I, I don't know what happened." At that point Erin couldn't control herself and started to breakdown in Will's hands. "Oh Erin he will be okay. Please tell me what happened."
"One moment we were driving back to the district and then he just became unresponsive."
"I'm sorry Erin."
Will just stood there holding Erin and praying that he was right about his brother being ok. "Will?"
"Yeah."
"Have you spoken to Jay lately?"
"No not really I've been busy at work. Why?"
"Oh I'm sure it's nothing but he just hasn't been himself since what happened you know."
"I will talk to him when he is better. Wait here a minute I will see if I can find out what's wrong."

Erin smiled at Will as he turned and started to walk to Dr Rhodes.

"Hey Will look I'm sorry about your brother."
"How is he?"
"He is in surgery right now but he had some cracked ribs that punctured his long as well as causing internal bleeding."
"So your saying that my brother has a pneumothorax and internal bleeding?"
"Yes, I'm sorry but it didn't help that he seemed exhausted before."
"Ok thanks."

Will went to tell Erin but to his surprise the whole of the intelligence unit was there. "Hey Will how is he?" Erin asked. "He has a punctured lung and internal bleeding and is in surgery right now." Everyone's faces dropped. Jay could not make it and that was a high chance.
