It felt like he was drowning, gunfire could be heard in the background. Where was he? "Jay, Jay!" Who was calling his name. Terry? It couldn't be Jay had him killed, he couldn't save him. I have to wake up, it's only a bad dream.
Mouse was only gone for five minutes to get a coffee. He didn't expect to see a bunch of nurses rushing into Jay's room when he came back. "What's going on?" He shouted.
"Jay's heart rate just rapidly increased we might have to sedate him."
"No, No! Let me talk to him he has just come out of the induced coma."
"Ok then, it's worth a try."

Jay was thrashing on the bed, pure panic in his eyes. "Hey buddy. It's me Jay." Mouse moved closer and took his hand. "Your okay." It took him ten minutes to calm Jay down. He knew that he would not stay in the hospital and hoped that when he decided to leave it would of been enough time for him to heal. He shouldn't blame himself. Mouse was partly to blame.

Jay had heard Mouse and didn't blame him. He needed revenge, payback and there was only one place he could get that. It would be better for everyone.

Will had come into work early so that he could check on Jay but all he found was a note that read:
Dear district 21, Will, Erin whoever is reading this will know what I have done. I am to blame for killing my friends and anyone close to me. I was born to be a soldier that is my purpose. I don't know if I will make it back but I love you all and I'm sorry.
Jay Halstead
Tears were falling down Will's face. His brother thought he was worthless he can't let him leave he couldn't lose Jay.
