Katie's POV ( In the car )
" What happened Katie?"
" My-m-m-my ribs h-h-hurt. I t-t-t-t-think T-Tyler's in a-a c-coma."
" Okay we're here, Lynette you walk in front of us and tell them about Katie and Tyler."
The next thing I knew I was in a hospital bed and the doctor was looking at me.
" Good you're awake. Hello Katie my name's Dr.Martin, but you can call me Ashley if you want to."
" Where is my brother Jason?"
" They don't want to visit you yet, but they are watching you through the wall over there."
" How's Tyler is he okay? Can I see him?"
" He's in a coma. In the bed next to you."
" Oh my goodness," I said looking over at him, " Can you let someone see me?"
" It depends on who it is sweetheart."
" It's my friend Carter Shank he's 14."
" Okay I'll find him and let him in," Ashley told me.
" Oh my god Katie! What happened?"
" Well after everyone left the house I went into the kitchen and.......," I said telling Carter the whole story.
" How come they only let me see you?"
" Because I asked for them to. I know that you wouldn't be able to live knowing that you're best friend was in the hospital."
" Awwww,K-bug," he said, but he pulled up a chair and sat next to me because he knew that he couldn't hug me me yet because my ribs were almost done healing.
Doctor Martin came back in and told me that I could leave in 3 days, she let everyone come in and see me. She showed them the machines and explained what each one did. They went over to see Tyler because it was time for my first walk of the day, Carter took me.
" If I fall I'm taking you down with me," I told him.
" Alright. Where do you wanna walk to?"
" I don't know just around this floor I guess."
" Got it."
(Today's the third day, I can leave in 2 hours)
" I ordered a taxi to take you home Katie," Ashley said.
" Can Carter come with me?"
" Yes he can," she said, " You know that your family and everyone else that came in here the first day, well they told me that they were going to have a big meal for you when you get back."
" Sounds like fun," I said.
" Just so you know, they don't know what time that you're going home."
" Ok, can we leave now?"
" Yes. I'll call you if anything happens to your brother."
" Okay. Thanks for taking care of me."
" You're welcome."
(At the house, *getting out of the car*)
" I feel bad that you have to help me walk."
" That's what friends are for." Ding dong.*he rang the doorbell*
" Just hurry up and open the door I don't want to fall down again."
" Don't worry. I'll cuishon your fall."
" Katie you're home!"
" Hi," I said to Jason.
" Carter Shank, long time no see," Jason said extending his hand so Carter could shake it.
" No kidding," Carter said.
" How do you feel?" Jason asked me.
" Awesome, I don't need help to walk anymore."
" Then how come-"
" He's being protective, he knows I'd do the same for him."
