Dylan's POV

"Flight 209 preparing for decent into Los Angles Airport. Thank you for flying with us today."

I take off my headphones and pause the music that's been strumming in my ear for the past hour. I slightly nudge my best friend Owen.

"Owen, Owen wake up. We're almost home".

No reply.

"Owen c'mon wake up!"

He's still sound asleep. He must be tired from all the fighting that he's been doing. Being a soldier in Iraq is hard stuff, and I'm proud of Owen for doing it.

"OWEN FUCKING WAKE UP WE ARE HOME DUDE" I shout to him, then realize that about everyone on the plane is staring at me.

Owen finally wakes up after a flight attendant tells me I need to use my "inside voice".

He seems very nervous. He keeps fidgeting and biting his lip. Even in the past 10 years I have known him, I have never seen him this anxious.

Then after what Owen says was "the longest 20 minutes of his life", we can finally get of the airplane. I picked him up from Iraq, to surprise him. That's what guys do.

After we've grabbed our small bags from the over head bin, we walk down the small aisle and thank the flight attendants and pilot once again.

Owen practically sprints into the room where all the loving family of all the soldiers come to greet them. It must be nice having someone to come home to.

I look around for Owen and see him running towards the right side of the room. And that's when I see her.

I have no idea who she is, but she is hands down the most beautiful girl in the room. I start walking towards the two of them.

"Hi", she says softly, "I'm Anna, Owens girlfriend".
