Ending

COUPLE OF YEARS LATER

Patty and Nathan are woken up by a loud bang and then a cry.

"I'll get it." I tell Nathan. He looks at me and I know what he is thinking. "It's fine. I promise." I walk out of the room and into the kids room. I see Nora and Joe on the floor giggling. The book shelf is on the floor with all of the books taken out of it.

"Okay. Who is the cause of this." I say sternly to my kids. Me and Nathan have been married for over 10 years and have had Nora and Joe for 3. You would think it was easy taking care of twins but no, it had to be hard.

"It was me. I jumped out of bed and ran into the bookcase. You know how that is." For a kid that is 3 years old, Joe really knows how to convince people. Nora giggles and then poof she is up in the air laughing her head off. I call to Nathan and wait for him to get here while I try to get Nora to come down from the air.

"Can you call my mom and dad and ask if they can come over. They'll know what to do since my kids took after them." Joe was a speedster and had super-strength. Nora was another supergirl plus she could read people's minds. Kind of like what I can do but not really.

"Okay." I smiled at him and then turned back to the kids.

"Joe get the shelf back up and put the books back." He runs over there and it's done in matter of seconds. I then looked at Nora and thought that she should come down and that is what she did but instead of landing on the floors she landed somewhere over my shoulder. I turned around saw my mom and dad. My dad was messing around with Joe and my mom was playing tug o' war with Nora. I walked out of the room and back to my room.

"Honey wait." I turn around and see my mom.

"What's wrong?" I asked her. She seemed fine to me.

"No what's wrong with you. Are you mad at something?" She asked me pushing me into the room.

"it's just that my kids have nothing in common with me. They have things in common with you and dad but what about me. I want to have something in common." I see my mom sit down next to me and that's when I know what she felt the same way as I am right now when she had me.

"It will happen soon. They will have something in common with you and Nathan very soon. Just trust me." Just like that I knew that one day my daughter will come to be asking the same question. And I'll tell her the same things that my mom to me.
