Chapter 1
"Tasha, time to get up or you'll be late for your first day of school!" my mom yells from downstairs.
"Ok! I'm coming hold your horses." I yell back.
My mom always wants to be on time, she claims that's the reason my dad died in a car crash a couple years ago. She says if he was on time it would have never happened. I don't now she might be right, or maybe it was just his time to go. But ever since then she's been more pre-cautious around this town. Don't get me wrong she's chill but she's just more careful then before.
So it's just me and my mom. Since I'm an only child you could say I'm spoiled in ways.
I'm mexican and black or you could say blexican. I get the mexican from my mom and the black from my dad.
It's an all girl world around here now a days besides when my 2 guy friends come over to visit with my other friends.
My mom who's name is Savannah Martinez {(Mamacita) basically I'm a younger version of her} is 32 Years old.
Then there's me Tasha Martinez I'm 16 {(Tosh) tall, black hair, brown eyes}. My parents wanted me to have a black and mexican name, that's why I have my name. I go to Brolen High school. We live in Maryland in a mansion style house.
My best friends are Iyona Perez {(Iyaya) tall, medium brown hair, light brown eyes}, Brittney Simpson {(Britt Britt) short, light brown hair natural blonde highlights, light brown eyes, and Chloe Robertson {(Chlo) medium height, blonde, blue eyes} who are 15 years old. Alexander Smith {(Alex) tall, changing eyes mostly green and hazel}, and Trevor Johnson {(Tre) tall, brown hair, brown eyes} are both 16 like me.
Iyona is blexican. Trevor is black. Brittney, Alexander, and Chloe are all caucasian. All the girls are your typical skinny girls, but me and Iyona have belly rings. The guys however are built and muscular, every girls daydream right I know it's mine. Not that I daydream about them though, what made you think that. They're all like my sisters, and brothers. I can't live without them.
So I'm getting ready for the first day of high school. Freshman year, yay I just hope I don't get sucked in with the crowd.
I do my hygiene routine. I brush my wet hair and throw it into a high curly ponytail. Then, I put on a half, hang off the shoulder shirt that's black and has cèlfiè in white letters with white ripped skinny jeans. To top the whole look off a white and black shoes.
