5: Connected

Hey! What's up?
Figment: well I'm doing just fine, why did you call me figment?
Me: coz you are my favourite figment of my crazed imagination.

"Do you want to go back to town with us?" Ami asked sweetly as she packed up the picnic basket "also do you want a sandwich?" She held out the nice looking sandwich, with crispy lettuce and a thick slice of some sort of red cheese, like someone forgot to peel the wax off a babybell cheese, (a/n not sure if America has these but they are a small snack cheese wrapped in a red wax with a paper tab to get the wax off )
Then the strangest of them all, some sort of meat that was glowing blue, like the colour was a smurf who had painted himself with a glow in the dark fluorescent blue paint. I took a hearty bite out of it and it felt like I had seen everything I had ever wanted to see and more. In a few more bites, it was just some crumbs in my hand."You must have not eaten in a while." Ami said again.

"I never got the blonde one's name yet." I replied changing the subject briskly.

"Emma." The blonde one spoke up as she started to stand up and wipe some dirt from the folds of her blue dress. "Now we should get back before it starts to storm."  Ami stood up and started to do the same thing that Emma did with her similar turquoise dress.
I looked up to the once blue sky with minimal clouds, which I had not noticed as I fell, which looked like a Bob Ross painting. Now it was grey, the  cloud cover looked thick and spread in all directions I could see. I stood up and stretched my arms out to my sides and cracked my shoulders. I walked aside Ami while Emma walked swiftly ahead. That was when the Field started to shake and crack. An earthquake. I looked at my shaking feet to see shaking mud coming off of it. I looked back up and Emma was gone and sitting on the edge of a crack was Ami. The earth stopped shaking. I ran and sat down beside her. She was crying into the pit. She looked up to me and a melancholy smile crept on to her face.

"We'll get her back." It was the only thing that I could manage to say. the smile was wiped from her face. the field swirled and turned to black. it reappeared with Ami standing angrily. a swiveling yellow and blue background.

A voice called out again. "Battle Start! Enemy Ami , HP 10 Lvl 1. Rachiu HP 10 Lvl 1. Ami attacks! Raichu lost 1 health. "

Ami comes near me and a white stripe appears across my chest. the talisman starts to glow and out of impulse I grabbed her hand. The talisman glows more intensely. A golden looking ribbon of light snaked out of the talisman and wrapped itself around our hands. Ami had turned and faced me. More blobs of colour spilled out of the talisman, some grew faces, as others had two prominent X'es on them. They paired up two and two, a small clump with three blobs on them remained. Ami smiled
"Spirits. I thought I'd never see them." She sighed lovingly. We looked around, the spirits danced, gracefully yet fearful, or so it seemed. It looked like they started to twist and form little hearts. As a pair slowly faded away, my mouth was forced open and a red trail of light came out. I looked at Ami and her mouth was also opened forcefully and an orange trail of light came out. The trails rose up and started to swirl.

I didn't know what was happening, and by the look on her face, I assumed that Ami was confused too. I mentally panicked. I could feel any energy in my body being drained as the light still came out, swirling. After what it seemed to be five minutes, Ami passed out and the light stop coming out and swirling. The spirits were sucked back into the talisman and next the golden ribbon. Ami fell to the ground. I dropped to my knees to try and pick her up. I didn't have much strength and was mostly living off adrenaline. I started to yell, and tear up. I could not handle both her and my weight. We were both weak, but I still Carried her onwards. "Help!" I yelled "Is anybody out there?!" I fell to my knees suddenly. "IS ANYONE OUT THERE?!" I cried in remorse before placing Ami on the floor and falling on top of her stomach
