Chapter 10

The Second Meeting

I wake up naked in my bed with Eriks arms wrapped around me. I slowly untangle him from me and get up out of bed. I walk to the kitchen and open up the fridge to find it empty. I quickly get dressed and leave Erik a note that I'm going out to buy more food. I take his keys and go down to his car. I drive to the grocery store and pay 65.00 on food and then I go to Starbucks to get myself a "Yay your alive!" treat. Sure I didn't want to be alive, but now that I am and something's are going right in my life, I'm glad I am. I get to Starbucks and order a tall vanilla bean frappachino and sit at one of the little tables. There are people sitting with computers and a few white girls (but that was obvious before I walked through the front doors). There's a boy sitting a table across the room and he looks at me but when I look at him he looks away. I sip on my drink. I look at the time. 9:23 AM. I still have about two hours before my first class. I look over at the boy and he's looking at me. He gets up and walks over to my table and sits in the chair across from me.

"Hello Ryder." He says. He's got orange hair and dark brown eyes.

"Who are you exactly?" I ask.

"I was expecting that question. I don't look like I did when we were a thing." He says. "It's me...Tyler." I drop my frappachino on the table and he quickly puts it upright before it spills. "Nice to see you." He says and takes a sip of his latte. I look around nervously. 'Theres too many people here for him to kill me, but then again why would he care who sees?' I think to myself.

"I have to go." I say and get up. He grabs my arm.

"You can run, but I will find you again one day...I promise." He says. He let's go of my arm and I walk out of Starbucks. I drive back to campus and look at the clock. 9:57 AM. I go back to my room and see Erik already left for class. I call Ciara and tell her all about it. After she hangs up I call Marcelo.

"Hey Ryder what's up?"

"Marcelo Tyler found me!"

"What?!"

"Yeah! What do I do?!"

"You need to leave!"

"But I can't! I have classes and friends and a boyfriend and...nothing."

"What there's something."

"Just an organization..."

"About?"

"Stopping the bullying cause against LGBTQ."

"Ryder...how do I say this..."

"Say what?!"

"I'm the leader of that organization! I can help you! I can have someone pick you up in a few days and bring you to San Francisco, the capital of the club. You'll be safe there."

"On one condition."

"Yes?"

"I take Erik."

"Fine."

"Where do we live once I get there?"

"I have a luxury house already payed off in the mountains over looking a waterfall and river. All you need to pay is the taxes and shit. I can give you the money for that to."

"Why are you doing all this for me." No answer. "Marcelo?!" He hangs up the phone. I look at the time again. 10:30 AM. I watch TV for 15 minutes then head out to class. I get there early and take a seat near the back. Erik walks in after a few minutes and sits next to me. "I need to tell you something." I say. More kids pile in and take seats around us.

"Yeah babe?" He says.

"I'm gonna need to tell you later... Too many people here." I reply.

"Ok." He says. The teacher walks and we start our lesson on medication. After class ends I go to my other classes until it's 5:00 PM. I walk back to the main building and knock on the custodial closet but it swings open at the touch. I walk in and down the secret staircase. The club leader is sitting at the teachers desk.

"Hey, I'm back." I say. He looks up from his work and gets up to greet me. "You needed to talk to me?"

"Yes. I talked to Marcelo about your situation with Tyler." He says. "I'm moving you and your boyfriend to San Francisco in a couple days."

"I haven't talked to him about that yet, I dont know if he's ready to drop out...I am but I dont know if he is." I reply.

"We are transferring both of you to a school up there. And why would you want to drop out?" He says.

"Because I'm tired of being called the school slut and I know I have a boyfriend now but going to another school will bring more cute boys...I dont know..." I say.

"Well if you really feel that way I'll send in your drop out forms...but if you want I could always give you a job in helping run the LGBTQ organization?" He asks and i respond with a "Yes". He then pulls out some papers. He makes me sign at some Xs. He calls Marcelo as I'm leaving. I head back to my dorm and walk in to see Erik sitting on the bed. 

"We need to talk." I say.  He gives me a concerned look.

"Well that doesn't sound good...we aren't breaking up are we?" He asks.  I sit next to him on the bed and grab his hand.  I explain the whole situation to him about my stalker ex boyfriend, the secret club, and us having to move...if he wants to. "I just got you back, theres no way im leaving you already!  When do we leave?"

"A couple days, then we have all of Christmas Break to settle in to our new home and soon second semester will be here, for you." I reply.

"Why just for me?" He asks.

"Im dropping out.  I cant deal with all the schoolwork and im getting a job in helping run the organization."  I say.

"Ok, well im in!" He says.  I hug him and I pull away till our faces are inches apart.  I lean in and kiss him.  I go right in for the tongue, not wasting a moment to play.  He quickly unbuttons his pants and I do the same with mine.  He pulls off my pants and underwear then gets on top of me.  I feel him enter me and I moan.  He cuts me off with a kiss.  I find him speeding up, the lifting my legs up.  He buries his face into my neck and starts to bite it.  He finally does one last thrust and I feel him come inside of me.  He lays down on his back and I cuddle up next to him, grabbing his arm and falling asleep with my head rested on his shoulder.
