Chapter Three

Trying to dodge still coming back and even if you try harder not to think of it, someone would just reminds you of it.

"Hey, where are you going?" Rica asked when she saw Veron readying itself that morning.

"I have a date." It straightly answered without hesitation.

"What? Date? Sa umaga talaga?"

Veron laughs. "Well, you couldn't blame, I use my charm frequently!" it announces full of pride.

"Wow! Anata wa puraido de ippaidesu, ha!" she said. "Anyway, sino naman itong na-charm mo? Pinoy ba?" she added in curiousity.

(You're full of pride!)

"Ah, he's a half Japanese that is why I'm so excited to talk with him," it answered and hums as it finished answering.

"Yeah, right! Und gehen früh am Morgen ... Sie müssen ihn wirklich bezaubern."

(And going out early in the morning... you must really charm him.)

"What? What did you said?"

"Ahm, nothing!" she answered. "Just go on your early date for now, okay?"

"What about you?" it asked worriedly.

"I'll be staying here in the room till launch since that I need to wait for my sister call."

"Oh, okay! Sige, alis na ako." Paalam nito na tinanguan lang niya. "At please lang, don't ever talk to me in German, okay?"

Rica laughed. "Oh, come on! Minsanan lang naman iyon!"

"Haha! Funny!" it sarcastically answered. "Anyway, got to go!"

"Okay! Have fun!" Veron just nodded and went out while she just get back to her bed and sleep some more.

After getting a sleep, Rica immediately open her laptop to see if her younger sister was already on the line and it seems she was.

"Hello, little sis!" she greeted as soon as her sister opens her video call.

"Hi, ate Rica! How are you back there?" it asked with a smile from its face and it seems it misses her. Ito ang bunso sa kanilang magkakapatid at sila lang dalawa ang nakasama ng kanilang ina mula nang mag-kahiwalay ang kanilang mga magulang noong sampung taong gulang pa lang siya.

"I'm fine! Lalo na nang makita ko ang cute at lovable kong young sister." Matamis niyang sagot rito.

"Oh, now I miss you that much! I hope I can be with you right there."

"I hope that too, but you couldn't since you have to study a lot since that it is your last year of school."

Her sister smiles at her. "Come on! I am too smart so there is nothing to worry about even if I won't study for a day."

"You're being boastful, again!" it just laughed on her. "Anyway, nasan si George bakit mukhang hindi mo kasama?" tanong niya sa pinsan niya na kasama nila sa bahay nila.

"Ah, nasa cr lang siya ate," sagot nito. "Siya nga pala, ate! Kailan mo dadalawin sila Tatay?" bigla nitong tanong na hindi agad niya nasagot.

"Ah, eh," isang malalim na buntong-hininga ang pinakawalan niya bago siya makasagot ng deretso. "Nasa bakasyon mode pa ako ngayon." Tanging nasagot niya rito at ni hindi man lang siya tumitingin sa mga mata nito.
