The morning he woke again, Ciel found himself staring at the ceiling of Theo's- their room, his heart palpitating erratically as he wondered if his father was serious about coming here. Of course he was serious. Ciel reminded himself that his father was capable of doing a lot of things, especially when it came to protecting him.

Ciel glanced at the clock, sighing quietly as the red digits blinked at him, indicating that he had woken up far too early. It was barely three in the morning. The feeling of anxiousness still lingered in this chest uncomfortably.

Ciel turned to face Theo, watching as Theo breathed heavily, still in deep sleep. He reached over to cover Theo's bare shoulders with the sheets. He blushed as he did, remembering what had happened between them last night. He kept his lower body as still as he could, unwilling to find out what's the damage to his body this time. He could barely remember the details of the last few times they did it, he drifted in and out of consciousness, letting Theo do as he liked.

Ciel closed his eyes in an attempt to fall asleep, but he could not. There was feeling of dread deep in the pits of his stomach and it kept him awake. The anxiety squeezed at his chest and Ciel took several long, deep breaths to calm himself. Why was he feeling so uneasy about today?

He willed his mind to go blank as he stared at the darkness behind his lids. Several moments passed and he was still wide awake. He briefly wondered if he counted sheep, he would be able to sleep at all. No luck. Ciel resigned to his fate, simply lying by his mate, his eyes wide open and staring at the ceiling, waiting for the time to pass, or for sleep to claim him.

*Knock, knock, knock*

Three loud raps vibrated against their room door and Ciel startled, wincing when he clenched his rectum involuntarily. A sharp shot of pain raced through him, hitting his spine. He hissed. There, he needed to have a talk with Theo. He was not going to be in any condition to do any training or running today, or any other day if Theo didn't go slow or gently with him. He understood and loved Theo's passion, it made him feel thoroughly loved and impossibly cherished, but his body was not as ecstatic about enduring the pain after.

He glanced at Theo, who didn't stir from his sleep. Ciel blinked a few times before he called out as he peeled the sheets off of him, "Yes?" There was a strange sense of intimacy, answering the door in a room that was not his own, but belonging to someone else as well. He bit his lips to prevent himself from smiling like an idiot.

He had not even sit up completely before the door burst open, his father and Gin appearing through the doorway as they squeezed aggressively through the doors. That sense of dread that had been sitting at the pits of his stomach roared to life and he gasped.

Ciel's eyes saw  them, but his mind was still trying to wrap around the idea that they were really standing there, in front of him, looking murderous. Ciel screamed as Gin lunged for him, "Theo!"

Theo was up instantly, his eyes darting around the room before he narrowed his eyes at Gin and the way that he was holding Ciel. His canines lengthened as he lunged at Sam, who countered him easily, grabbing him by the shoulder as he flipped Theo to the ground, "Let go of him!" He snarled in a low voice as he swiped at Sam.

Ciel fought against Gin's hold to get to his father, but the older teen seemed to have gained even more strength since they were apart, "Gin! Please! Sam's going to kill him!" Ciel begged as he tried to pull away, kicking his legs into the air.

"Let him!" Gin snarled into his ear as he dragged Ciel towards the door, Ciel fighting every step.

Ciel screamed when he saw his father pushing off the ground, launching himself at Theo, canines bared, "Dad! No!" His heart dropped as Gin tugged harder at his torso to pull him further away.
