Tyler's POV
I woke up this morning in a very sour mood. Everyone in my house got the memo to leave me alone for the day. Not that it was too much to ask for. Everyone has their days, and today happened to be mine.
To start off, my phone alarm decided not to work this morning, causing me to wake up about twenty-two minutes later. Which meant no breakfast for me. As I got into the shower the water was like ice, which made me hurry to the farthest corner of the shower. Slowly I put my foot forward to check if it got any hotter, but no luck. Facing my fate I ended up taking a cold shower. Cozy right?
As I got out of the delightful shower I checked my phone to see how many more minutes until James came to pick me up. My phone showed 6:24, so I had about six minutes to get ready. Sweat pants it is.
As I rushed downstairs to grab my shoes I heard the honking of James car, so I just muttered a quick goodbye to my mom and my sister and made my way out.
"You look beautiful today." James said right when I got inside the car.
"Shut up and drive." As you could tell, I not in the mood.
"You're feisty too! I don't know man, I think I might like you." Well isn't someone just in a giddy mood.
I just rolled me eyes, put in my earbuds, and closed my eyes. I might as well catch up on tomorrow's sleep when I had the chance.
James apparently got the idea that I was out of it today, and if he didn't want any trouble he should just continue to drive. I felt a little bad because I've been leaving James out of my life, just a little, by not telling him recent events. Which is basically everything that had Samantha was involved in. It wasn't like I had something to hide because she didn't fit in with my group of people. I am not that shallow... well maybe I am a little shallow.
Caught up in my thoughts I didn't notice we already made it to school until James stopped the car.
"Are you sure you're okay?" James ask me as we make are way to our lockers. This time I made sure there was not a open locker in my way, so I don't run into anything. I didn't want to repeat making a fool of myself in front of the whole school for the second time.
"I am fine. I am just really tired that's all." This morning wasn't exactly normal, nor was it fun, so today I am going to try to lay low.
"Are you sure? Because lately something seems very str-" He was cut off by his oh so lovely girlfriend. Great.
"Hey baby," she pauses and glares at me "Tyler."
Completely ignoring Melissa, I turn and make my way to my locker. Let James be mad that I was rude to his girlfriend, she acts like a witch to me anyways. James even knows this, but he never does anything about it. Bros before hoes. It is simply brocode, and James is breaking brocode.
When I opened my locker, I wasn't expecting someone slam it shut from behind me. But has today even been the least bit successful? Turning around, rather pissed if I do say so myself, I see a somewhat annoyed James. I take a deep breath to get ready for the scolding that is soon to come my way.
"You can't just blow her off like that man, It isn't cool man." He looked really irritated all because if what I did, I guess he wasn't having the best day today either. I mean I get that I didn't even bother saying hi or acknowledging her presence, but I didn't want to deal with her before I absolutely had to.
I was thinking of what to say, opening and closing my mouth until I had formed perfect sentence. But instead, I just ended up chuckling to myself. I shook my head and turned around to get all my books from my locker. When I looked back I saw a very confused looking James.
