We don't want this forest to be bulldozed not just because of all the wildlife in it but because many mythical creatures live there. see other members doing the same. I looked at the man in the bulldozer, a man in his early forties, who looks to be quite stubborn by the growl on his face. I stare him in the eyes as the bulldozer gets closer and closer. I won't back down. The plastic guard on the bulldozer rams into my chest. Everything goes black.

Through my half closed eyelid I see a man bending over me. In a low voice, he says " I've killed her." My friend, a peguis companion, kneels at my side. With long blond hair and blue eyes, we look very different. She smiles and says" No, you haven't. She is still breathing. " I open my eyes and see Rhoda, circling above. Through our mental bond, I tell her, Go! Fly away! The humans might see you!  She flies away quickly, and I breath a sigh of relief.  I sit up and give my friend, Oona a hug, relieved she was there. I sat up and looked at the man who had hit me. I frowned and said, " Do you care AT ALL about the animals, trees, and plants in that forest? Not to mention the humans, like me, who you almost killed?" I sat and looked at him. He mumbled, " I was just following orders. I need the money. "

I looked at him and detected something magical about this man. He had a connection to a magical creature. I looked at Oona, and she looked at me. I stood up and asked him, " I'm going to need you to follow me. " I hobble along, my head throbbing. I walk to our leader, a griffin companion. He is older than me by a year, and very annoying. The reason he is our leader is because griffin companions are very rare, even rarer than a golden dragon. His name is Griffin ( he made me) , and I'm his "second in command" . I detest him, and he always rubs it in my face that he is the leader. Today however, he rushes towards me and asks, " Are you ok?" with a trace of a smirk on his face.

I grab his arm and say " We need to talk." I say, " The driver. The one who knocked me down, he... He is a fire salamander companion. " " Not too bad then, " he says. "Maybe ," I say. A fire salamander is a salamander born in the dying embers of the flames. They burn everything they touch. I am suddenly scared. This could be why he was hired to destroy the forest. Wood burns very easily, and since fire salamanders could burn through a forest in seconds. I glance over at the bulldozers and see that they have a fire as their logo. On the side of the bulldozers is the acronym F.I.R.E.
