"Jacob!" I shouted out to him when I saw him through my window. He saw me and smiled at me, that big goofy smile that raised his cheeks and made him look like a chipmunk.

"I thought you were dead!" I called out and he gave me a confused look and shook his head.

"What do you mean I completely ali-" At that moment a speed car hit him, just like it did before. I ran downstairs and opened the door to go outside. When I came closer I knew something was different. The car was different, it had tinted windows and was a completely black car I couldn't see the driver. Then Jacob's boby... it just wasn't him. I rolled over the his body and gasped at what I found. It was Susie. Her face was all bruised and her eyes were closed. She was floating on a pool of her own blood, her pink just now all bloody. When I looked up for help, I saw Leo in front of me. He just stared at me without talking, but he looked scared and sad.

"Help get a doctor!" I screamed. Leo opened his mouth to talk, but his voice was muffled by blood spilling out. So did his eyes, forehead, nose, and whole body. He eventually dropped and on his back a large knife was dug in. I screamed and started to scream,

"No!No!NOOOO!"

"No!" I woke up and automatically sat up breathing heavily.

"So....you don't want pancakes for breakfast?" My mom said from doorway. My face got red and I quickly got out of bed.

"Sorry had a bad dream. I would love some pancakes right now." I answered her and her face soften. My mother stayed home on weekends, ever since she was found unconscious in her office where she works as a detective for the police. I followed the delicious smell of pancakes to the kitchen and stacked two on a plate and put some syrup on it so it drips from the sides. I ate in silence with my mom when her phone rang.

"Hello," she said to the person on the other line "Yes I've heard.... Yes.... Yes... What time? Alright."

She hung up on the person and I held my breathe as I knew what was coming.

"Um... honey there was a break in at a local bar and they want me to go inves-"

"It's okay mom, I understand." I gave her the best smile I could manage and she nodded and headed for her bedroom to change. I sighed and started my chores. While I was taking out my laundry I heard the front door open and my mom call out bye then the door shut with a click. I sighed and when I was done headed to my room. I noticed there were 3 new messages. They were all from Leo.

Listen we need 2 talk

Can u meet me at the football game today?

Plz?

I texted back:

Will u explain what happened yesterday?

The answer came back quick and simple:

No.

I scoffed and angerly texted back:

The I'm not going bye!

After a few minutes there was no answer and I almost gave up when he finally answered :

Okay I'll tell u... but don't tell anyone k?

I agreed and he told me when the game was. I got ready for it and put on the jersey of our school with gray jeans. As I was taking my phone out from charging the doorbell rang and I opened it to go outside where Leo waited. Hands in his pocket with black sweatpants and one of those funny t shirts that said 'training to beat Goku or at least Krillin'.
